Tournament style "best pony" competition [elimination round]

Been working this through my head for a while.  Now, I am ready.  I have narrowed down the contestants to 16.  Some of the winners in this round are obvious, but not all of them.  I'll take the final tally of the votes in a week.  That should be enough time to get a good pool of votes.

 

I really enjoyed pitting sisters against each other, as you might have noticed.

 

My votes went to Twilight, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Scootaloo, Pinkie Pie, Applebloom, Luna, and Shining Armor.

To be fair, this wasn't exactly a fair competition of likeability. It was fun, but it was just bad placement. Rainbow dash vs big mac. That's basically the holy grail next to a glass cup. Just an opinion, not trying to mean.

I have to say good job on some interesting pairings. I'm interested to see how this turns out.

A fare point.  It was obvious to me that Twilight, Rarity, Dash, Pinkie, and Luna would reach the preliminary round.  However, I wasn't sure about the rest of them.  The preliminary round next week is when it will get really interesting.

Twilight, Sweetie Belle, Rainbow Dash, Scootaloo, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Princess Luna, Princess Cadence. I have to say that some of the matches are a tad uneven though.

I voted  Twilight Sparkle  Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Scootaloo, Pinkie Pie, Applejack and Shining Armor.

 

Interesting pairs because I like Scootaloo and Fluttershy a lot but Scootaloo wins.

How could anyone choose Twilight over The Great and Powerful Trixie! She's clearly the better pony.
