The only other cartoons I watch are American Dad and family guy, I've been trying to get into anime but no luck.

Dunno why, guess I'm just very picky.

I don't really watch any other cartoons on TV besides MLP. I haven't seen anything else out there that I really like or it's more like I don't have time for it or some of it is almost just a repeat of things I've seen before. I have sort of watched a couple episodes of things like Sophia the first and while it's very cute it doesn't keep my interest enough to make me watch it on a regular basis.

   I may sound redundant, but I chose My Little Pony - Friendship is Magic, it truly is a modern marvel, rare for such a television program inspire and unite a diverse group of fans. Our days are brimming with the outrageous and feeble programs, just filler to close the gap in a time slot in a large imperial media schedule, they could care less what show premières, My Little Pony changed that, the creators when beyond the material and made it into imagination, only The Littlest Pet Shop and Pound Puppies to an extent, come close to match the strengths of MLP, so it would appear the television programs of our time, have some shinning moments, and when they do they glimmer like the multi coloured ponies we have come to watch.

I's hard to pick just one but my favorites are MLP, Adventure Time, Gravity Falls, (old) Teen Titans, and Regular Show! Steven Universe is kind of getting there!

Adventure Time. MLP is a fun show but it lacks the boundless creativity and engaging dramatic elements. And isn't as funny.

Well, for me, that answer is easily FiM, but it's kinda unfair for me to say. I really don't have a lot of time to devote to other cartoons. I will not say they are bad or crappy, but I can't give them enough time in the day.

My Little Pony, Thomas the Tank Engine, The Simpsons, Regular Show

 

Adventure Time is good, but it's gone downhill for me, plus I was never as crazy over it as people were,

in fact at first I hated it and thought it was the second worst CN show I had ever seen.

I don't like Gravity Falls. Yep, I said it. I've watch multiple episodes of it, plus some clips, and I just can't see the appeal.

Gumball is a zany show, but I haven't watched it in a while.

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is my favourite modern cartoon, other modern cartoons just don't interest me as much.  Metalocalypse on Adult Swim is my other favourite modern cartoon currently, it has great death metal music and black humour.

I actually discovered a new cartoon series called "Rick and Morty" yesterday. The series is about a mentally-unbalanced, alcoholic but scientifically-gifted old man who goes on adventures with his 14-year-old grandson. It's a pretty funny series but not good for kids though. Its first season premiered on last December and the season unfortunately consisted of only eleven episodes but season two is on its way! I'd recommend it if you like comedy, adventure and/or scifi cartoons.

Considering that Spongebob started 15 years ago, I'm not sure what you're referring to as being "modern."  So, I'm going to just say a series that's still producing episodes.

This isn't just because the show is awesome, but also that almost all other cartoons that I've seen are somewhat terrible, at best.  Out of that list you gave, Gravity Falls appears to be the next best, but it isn't that good.  Not included, I think I'd have to stoop low enough to say Robot Chicken.

 

...wait, are we sticking with Western cartoons, or can anime count?  ...I'll pretend that anime doesn't count for this.

 

Now, if we talk about cartoons that have come out in the past five or so years but are done, I'd say my favorite would either be the Total Drama series (the Island season being the best) or Titan Maximum, despite that show being cancelled before it finished.
