gaming Videogame Characters that you like, but hardly gets any attention?

Major videogame characters like the main character, main antagonist, the princess, a goofy boss, a boss brought back from a previous game in the series... a lot of these characters get so much attention.

I'm sure you have a character who isn't major, but really stood out to you. Maybe you even wished they were more popular?

Rico Rodriguez! From the Just Cause Series? Here's a picture of him.

Rico doesn't get much attention as does the entire Just Cause series. He's memorable to me for the "I hate ninjas." cut scene and for just being a total boss the entire game. So yes, Rico Rodriguez everybody!

I completely agree! Luigi deserves some more attention, I remember a line in super star saga somewhere saying that he lives in his brother's shadow.

I think Waluigi also deserves a bit of attention. He only shows up in mario party and sports games but he has never had a game of his own to star in. Heck, he didn't even make it as a playable character in brawl! I like the idea of Wario having a second-hand man like Luigi is to Mario, but we don't really know that much about him despite being around for over a decade.

Colette from Tales of Symphonia - She's adorable and funny but everyone only talks about how annoying she is :(

Franziska Von Karma from Justice For All - She's probably one the least popular prosecuters, but I always liked her attitude

Quistis from Final Fantasy VIII - I seem to have a love for women with whips I always thought she was cool, and looking back at her now, she sorta strikes me as the Applejack of the group, having the "mature, down to earth sibling" traits that make other characters look up to her(at least in the first disc)

Captain Commando - Because Capcom can go suck a big one

Megaman - Because Capcom can go suck a big one

Billy and Rebecca from Resident Evil 0 - Underappreciated characters from and underappreciated RE title

I'd probably have to say Banjo and Kazooie.

I loved their first two platformers on the N64. I have mixed feelings on Nuts and Bolts, though.

There's also Silver from Sonic the Hedgehog. He barely gets any attention whatsoever. First, he appeared in 06, where he looked like a gullible dumbass who swallows what anyone says. Then, after that, he's barely used for anything.

What a way to waste some money, SEGA.

I'll go with Maria from Mad Father

http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20130127080356/mad-father/images/9/92/Maria.png

I find her to be a very interesting side character in the game, I also adored her theme music ! I may be ignorant, but I feel like this character wasn't so much appreciated, though she gained some popularity when a lovely person made fan lyrics to her theme music, which I always end up singing xD : http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=RxuTAz_a7BE

I'm sure she is pretty popular but I'll name her anyway. A character I'm really fond of is Krystal from the Starfox franchise. She is just such an awesome heroine. She has the power of telepathy so she can sense distress from people and go find and help them she is a gentle, kind and caring person. She's flirtatious which is awesome. :3 and might I had that she has a mystical staff that can kill baddies. Badass!

Yeah, I completely agree with you about Silver. It is a shame that they don't use him more since his powers are really awesome.

You win~ I loved Max from Shining Force, and Bowie from Shining Force 2. Of course I loved the wolf characters the most, like Zylo and Gerhalt.

Also my favorite is this guy.

Personally...I absolutely love Espio the Chameleon from the Sonic Franchise. The fact that he is a ninja is even more awesome:

I also love Jet the Hawk from the Sonic Franchise as well:

I got to say Adam Fenix(Gears of war 3)

post-16621-0-91393300-1375652503_thumb.jpg

He's only in gears 3 and he dies at the end! its like wtf!! he could have been used in some many of the other gears of war games! maybe its because I play as him in VS, but I really liked him! And I would have loved to see him in more of the gears of war games!

My favorite character in "Red Dead Redemption" was Professor Harold MacDougal.  I don't really know whether he gets any attention.  I never see any fan art or anything related to "Red Dead Redemption."  I don't go on any video game forums or anything like that.

Do LEGO games count?

Pepper Roni was epic. He's an active teenager and he saves all of Lego Island by even travelling to space! He's a stuntman, an astronaut, a dino herder, a jouster. Who can do that?

And then there's the Spy Fox. The animal version of James Bond. Humongous Entertainment... Oh those were the days..

Here's a handful for ye:

191847-relm.gif

Relm Arrowny [Final Fantasy VI]

For whatever reason, my friends have always been really "meh" whenever talking about Relm, singling her out as the character they never use. Me, I always have her in my party. In addition to being one of the top-tier magic users, her characterization is far more developed than any of the other characters personifying the "perky young girl" archetype that's plagued Square games forever (Yuffie, Selphie, Eiko, Rikku, Penelo, Vanille...). Whereas all those other girls were wildly immature - even the older ones - Relm always struck me as very precocious and perceptive beyond her years.

...Yeah, leave it to me to find character depth in a 16-bit game. ^_^

Cremia.jpg

Cremia [Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask]

Not sure why I like her so much. I know she's really not much more than a clone of adult Malon from OoT, and it seems a lot of people overlook her because of this. But Cremia seems to have quite a bit more personality than Malon IMO. Something about the way she and her little sister Romani interact kind of reminds me of how Applejack and Applebloom get along...actually, their circumstances are pretty similar too, with Cremia looking after the ranch after their parents passed away. Huh...

20121208204710!Lavits.jpg

Lavitz Slambert [Legend of Dragoon]

Don't know what to say about this guy other than...he's a badass. Though not technically a Paladin, he's just as righteous, loyal, and selfless as anyone carrying that title. Not to mention he makes the ultimate sacrifice to protect his friend, Albert. All throughout the later portion of the game I kept thinking "Lord, if I give you Meru, will you give me back Lavitz?"

Probably Dr. Wallace Breen, the main antagonist from Half-Life 2, you hardly ever see him, and instead of fighting him, you chase him while fighting his soldiers.

And Steiner from CoD; Black Ops, I like him, its mostly Dragovich that everyone focuses on.

Billy and Rebecca from Resident Evil 0, but mostly Rebecca. Rebecca Chambers seems to be that Stars member that everyone always forgets even existed or something. Maybe if they gave her another appearance in a one of the numbered games she wouldn't be so overlooked.

Luigi is forever in the shadow of Mario. It's so bad it has become a joke in several a Mario's games, like how Luigi goes on his own quest during Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door (I wish we could have at least seen what princess Eclaire looked like). He's like NIS' Asagi except I don't think his fan following is as big a fraction in comparison (everyone loves Asagi). At least he gets a few good sidekick spots in some of the games.

Definitely Magikarp from Pokemon!

Nah, I'm just kidding... But seriously, I would have to say... Um... I can't really think of any for some reason

Alis Landale from the original Phantasy Star. She was Sega's and one of the Video Game Industries original female heroines. Furthermore, her journey throughout the first game was motivated by the death of her brother Nero, and actually felt epic. Such an underrated video game character that should be at least mentioned once in a while.
