E3: Kojima grows Metal Gear Solid V to a big war drama

Two detailed Videoclips throwing a view on the complex story and the well-made Game mechanic of the begin september releasing Espionage-Thriller.

Konami has shown on E3  in Los Angeles new views of the coming Espionage-Thriller Metal Gear Solid V. The story plays in the middle of the 80s to the time of the cold war. The hurted hero Snake has lost his memory and a arm. Together with his new allie Ocelot is he suposed to save a prisoner from Afghanistan.

While the story on the surface has shown similiarities to the old US:Movie series Rambo, make Hideo Kojima a different picture on the war. Instead of gorious heroes shos he mutilated veterans and child soldiers. The whole series pick out as a central theme of the military-industry complex, where the industry and military going hand by hand. But Metal Gear Solid is supposed to entertain too, and so there are always little gags, like goats, getting transported with balloons.

 

From the first-class production-niveau is already proofed to seen in the short pre-game "Ground Zeroes". Metal Gear Sold V wants as an open world game an over 200 times bigger surface. Typical for Kojima are long cutcenes, that where in the previous game MGS4 reached from times to full movie length of 90 minutes. Back then it got trouble on the PS3 released game with bare memoryplace of the console and had even on chasing scenes loading screens. That isn't to expect on actual consoles and PC anymore.

 

Metal Gear Solid V will be the last game of the Metal Gear series from Hideo Kojima. Kojima quarreled with the management from Konami and leaved the Publisher, that however still has the rights on Metal Gear Solid. The game is supposed to come out on 1st september on PS3/4 and Xbox 360/One and 2 weeks later for Windows. It could become a grand leave for Kojima
