is there anything about your friends that annoy you?

so i have this friend, not mentioning names.

let's just call him X.

whenever X is trying to crack some jokes or generally goof of it's so forced.

like

it doesn't come naturally to him.

if he is trying to do something funny or anything he is just so, stiff.

and it seems like he TRIES to be funny, seems like he looks for every opportunity to be funny instead of letting it come naturally to him.

also

he thinks that offensive=funny.

for example, if I've just made something I'm kind of proud of and he doesn't like it, he'll say "it totally looks/sounds/is like SHIT!" instead of saying "i don't like it. i think it is to loud or experimental. i would like it

better though if you (and so on)"

edit:

also

he can't handle ANY form of critique!

if he has started a bad habit and we confront him with it, he'll be like "what the fuck are you talking about!? no i fucking don't!"

and he always takes control of everything and bosses people around and stuff if we have a show or something.

and he tries to be laid-back some times but it also just ends up looking really tense.

is there anything about your friends that annoy you?

Is it okay that I use online friends? I'll just go with that.

I won't give away his name, but he is a nice guy. It's just that sometimes he is very annoying, immature, and acts like a total jerk. He doesn't respect opinions occasionally and is one of the rare individuals who can get on my bad side. Not full on bad side, but just a little bad side.

Yes, there's this one guy friend I have. He's very sweet (even though he hates being called that. lol). But sometimes he can be very stubborn. Like because I can't drive, sometimes we have missed being able to hang out and stuff. Once because I missed a text message by just a few minutes. =/

He also burps all of the time. lol. I know it's natural to burp, but I was raised to never do that in public. I've had guy friends that burped before, but never like this one. I think... no, I know, he does it even more just because he knows I consider burping in public to be rude. lol Typical guy. *rolls eyes*

Oh boy, here we go:

  • Kaitlin - Probably the most annoying one. She does nothing but eat, eat, eat and when she doesn't get her way, she yells, "Mommy!" in a whiney voice. That voice makes me want to punch her in the face...it's not cute in the slightest, it's aggravating.
  • Eva - She does nothing except date boys every 5 seconds. She literally just broke up with her bf and I just saw that she got back with him not even 1 day later. Plus she posts status updates on Facebook about "the love of her life" every. single. day.
  • Abby - Her breathing and her jokes. Her jokes are not really that funny, usually. Her breathing, what I mean by that is how she inhales and exhales through her mouth so loudly, it can get on my nerves from time to time.

I have a group of friends from high school that I occasionally hang out with.  The things that annoy me most about them is they all seem to share this collective sense of humor that really isn't funny. They will laugh at the dumbest things and I'm just like "I don't get what's so funny. It's just...." insert random thing here.

The other thing is that they often get loud when together and it gives me a headache so I can only spend so much time with them. They also seem to like playing weird pranks on each other that often crosses the border into outright disgusting. More than once has it involved one of them vomiting on the other.

They aren't so bad individually though. It's just that when they get together they decide to lower their intelligence and maturity to prodigiously low levels. Things get even worse when they start drinking.

I have another friend from high school who is a really great guy and we have a lot of common interests, but he gets fixated on certain things and he won't leave you alone about it until you just want to smack him. Right now his biggest interest is Homestuck. I understand it's pretty popular, but I find it boring and difficult to follow and he always makes me sit down and watch the videos and then gets frustrated with me when I can't pay attention and don't want to catch up on the series when I get home.

Well, usually most of my friends that I met in my freshmen year in high school are really turning into jerks this year especially to me. They annoy me because, they think they are the most elite people but in reality they are some idiots. But, I'll give them some credit they aren't that annoying.. yet.

Umm, just a question, but... If they annoy you and do it deliberately, why the bucking hell are you friends with them? Personally if I was friends with someone, and they started really annoying me, and I approached them about it, and they refused to stop, I would stop being friends with them!

EDIT: Also, talking about your friends in such a way, especially behinds their backs, reminds me of this song!

It is common to mistake me or some other friend i have for emos, he listen to emo and that type of music but he listens to a lot else. I listen to metal and hard rock, it is like people that is to common (mainstream i beleve it is called) says that "as long as it is screaming in the genre it is emo"(I have some friends like that).it is annoying but it is like a habit for someone.

I try not to get annoyed by what my friends do, but sometimes, I really can't stand being blasted at with loud, contemporary music, which I can't seem to appreciate...

Anyway, I won't like to confront them about it, and I respect their music tastes as much as how I wish them to respect mine. :) And we're all on pretty good terms, so it's actually alright.  :muffins:

The group of 4 that are going to live in an townhouse this year (including me) are all lazy as fuck. It is sometimes extremely hard to inspire them to do something that involves leaving their rooms, heh.

Other than those dudes, there is one guy that we're friends with that we play LoL with as well. He's pretty knowledgeable about the game, but he sort of has a superiority thing going on. He always goes on during the game about he just "made the plays" (this happens every two minutes), and after every game he always finds one of the stats that he was best in and points it out blatantly and repeatedly ("I would like all of you to feast your eyes on Damage Dealt to Champions" while we're playng ARAM and he's Zyra or an ADC).

I'll use their initials.

BL-He pretends to get all hyper, and (this isn't meant to sound offensive to people with learning disabilities) he acts kind of slow. When he gets hyper at my house he'll bounce around on my couch and nearly break the damn thing. Also, he has a cookie addiction. Also, he mumbles instead of speaking English most of the time. Many people complain about that one. He gets way too freaking hyper. I have to threaten him with an airsoft pistol in my own freaking house just to get him to calm down sometimes.

AR-I try to include him in conversations but this usually backfires on me, and I usually end up becoming the third wheel who is just kind of sitting there not talking because of this. Nothing else about him really grinds my gears.

AC-Usually nothing bothers me about him. He likes talking about himself maybe a little bit too much, but it doesn't really bother me. He may be just a tad cocky too.

MS-She acts like your best friend one day, and then she'll ignore you for god knows how long. Also she complains about her friends a lot. Also, just because I didn't freaking sit next to her and another dude one day in the computer lab before school, she's thinking I hate her. Ughhhh...*facepalm*. She's a great friend, but is a little high maintenance. By this I mean if you don't talk to her all the time the friendship just kind of fades away.

[rant] One of my friends, let's call him Colin... Well he irritates me so much.

Might as well start with a big one.

He is a compulsive liar, but he's so easy to see through. However, on those rare occasions when I'm in a bad mood and I seek out to prove him wrong, he just dismisses it or covers it up with another lie.

Also, it seems that sometimes he aims solely to bring me down just for his own pleasure, nobody finds it funny but he's in hysterics. [/rant]

Jacob: Thinks offensive humor is funny and calls people that act stupid or weird autistic, which I find very offensive.

Shane: We're sort of friends... But whenever I try to push him out of my life and ignore him it only makes him want to talk to me more. But its like we can't be friends without him being super flirty around me. I also can't stand his constant lying about everything, the hissy fits, and how he has so much trouble apologizing. Oh and he's INCREDIBLY embarrassing to be around in public, 9 times out of 10 he will try to start a fight with someone to try to look macho. I could actually go on and on with more stuff but I'd rather not.

Toby: He's just like Jacob, except worse with the offensive humor garbage. And he picks his nose in public and its pretty gross, he also used to not shower.

John: He tells everyone he's from Russia and even goes by a fake Russian name but he was born in America. He's also super dramatic, he saw his ex holding hands with another guy and he runs out into the middle of the mall, clutches his heart, and drops to his knees... Lol.

Well, my friends don't really do any *specific* things that irritate me.
However, I get the impression that none of my friends really take their friendships that seriously.
For example, this is the last Summer before everyone goes off to University or whatever, so we're obviously not going to be seeing each other for a while.
Naturally we should be seeing each other all the time, just in case.
NOPE LET'S JUST STAY INDOORS AND DO NOTHING ALL HOLIDAY.

But yeah, I guess it's just a general case of feeling distant from all of them.

I love my husband, but good god, I hate it when he plays DnD.

He plays here at the house via skype, but it's like he isn't here. When he isn't here, I'm perfectly fine with that, but when he plays DnD, he's SO LOUD. So he's in my way while I clean, but I can't get his help with anything, and he shouts. ARGH.

I'm glad he enjoys it, I just wish he would enjoy it...elsewhere.

Truthfully... yes.

While my best friend and I have been good pals for over a decade now, I really wish he would be more respectful to his parents. There is definitely a rift and it hurts me a great deal when I witness it. His family isn't exactly very well right now either, numerous health problems in the immediate family. They just seem distant and emotionless now, so unlike the people I used to know. I genuinely pity them and I hate to see or hear my friend giving them more problems.

well my ex boyfriend did some annoying stuff lol and I considered him my bestfriend sooo....

-Would call me a slut all the time infront of people or when it's just us, but say he was joking.

-asks me a question, then I answer, and he talk louder over my voice.

-just be very unfair and hypocritical

I like trains and one of my fellow rail fans comes over to my house and he means well, but he can be a real pain sometimes. He occasionally will stay a week at a time.  He doesn't have a computer of this own so he spends a lot of time on mine whenever he's here. This guy also dropped my laptop on the floor and, miraculously, it survived. He also ate a jar of this hard to find salsa that belonged to my roommate and he never replaced it.

If he weren't a generally a good guy to talk to and so knowledgeable about things like trains and the weather, he'd be more trouble than he's worth.

I hate to nitpick about it but my female friends and generally a lot of the younger women I've met or known, tend to overuse words not limited to but especially including:

LIKE, totally, seriously

If it wasn't for the fact that I enjoyed composers like Ennio Morricone and Hans Zimmer so much, sometimes I think I might pierce my eardrums listening to this hipster preteen l33t, lest I be compelled to rip out the offender's tongue. But enough of that....

Also their tendency to smoke a lot, but that's namely because smoking tends to trigger my latent asthma at times.

My friends that nitpick about me being a brony annoys me, since I don't complain about their likes and dislikes. Also, my friends that HAVE to be better at something. Like they refuse to be even a little worse than you. Those friends annoy me, but I enjoy keeping friends for a long time, so I don't whine about it.

My ex takes the mlp cartoon way too seriously to the point of ruining our relationship. My indifference towards his like is making him have emotional problems.

Your friend sounds unfunny, you should do something to preserve his reputation before he soils it more.

I don't have friends, ironically. But I know this guy I hang around and... well, let's just say he has a fascination with the nazi uniform and knowledge of their militia to an off-putting amount. I'm all for love and tolerance but I really don't care how loyal the S.S. are to the second most evil man in histoy and the owning the silliest mustache ever. That and he says fluttershy is "infirior".

One of my friends has a terrible home life and always goes on about how much he wants to do illegal things to his dad which may or may not put his dad into a state of death.

Another 'friend' has no respect for my sexuality.

And finally, a few friends who are too clingy and can't take "no" for an answer.
