Your Opinions of Scootaloo

Scootaloo is one of the most annoying character in the whole show. Out of all the characters that have been in it, I think she is the worst character in the whole show. Here are a few things I dislike about her.

 

1. Never stops talking about Rainbow Dash.

 

2. Her being sisters with Rainbow Dash seems pointless and well most likely never be used in the show.

 

3. 3 whole seasons and we have learned nothing new about her. Are the writers just afraid to expand on her or what?

 

4. At times it feels like Scootaloo is a copy and paste of Rainbow Dash. Having the same personality and nothing is really different about the 2.

 

The only thing I do like is she can't and hopefully won't be able to fly and she is not related by blood to any of the mane 6.

 

I think she could/should develop a new character trait, as could-should Applejack. Respectively, determination, and over-ambition.

Honestly I used to seriously dislike Scootaloo because I thought she was rude (when listening to the 'how I got my cutie mark' stories) but I grew to like her during the Sleepless in Ponyville.

 

I do think the writers need to explain her lack of family in the show, or they should give her at least a cousin or something.

Scootaloo is one cool filly. I never liked her much during the first two seasons, but I still admired her most out the the three CMC's, because her personality was quite different to her fellows, Sweetie Belle and Applebloom. I only really got to love her after Sleepless in Ponyville - she was just too adorable for me to handle. And having Rainbow Dash as her "big sister" is just awesome.

 

Be warned, though, Scoots. You'll never be as awesome as Dashie herself. Well, I think you know that but... I'm watching you.. >.>

We did learn that she isn't as brave as she makes out to be. She tried to act like Rainbow Dash but, as we know, failed. I thought that was a good part, though a flaw, of her character developement. But flaws are good, anyway. We need flaws. Edited August 21, 2013 by Dashabel

I totally agree with all you just said there.

I mean for starters the whole sisterhood with Rainbow wasn't need as the writers could of easily done a non blood related sisterhood thing with Rainbow and Fluttershy and have the two both develop from it.

Also Scootaloo has done nothing what so ever and when I mean that I mean to the the extent were people joke about Applejack being a background pony she has done that little and we know that little about her. In fact with Scoot's inability to develop I'm pretty sure she was supposed to be a background pony.

The only things we know about her is that she isn't an orphan which had to be specifically told to us which is pathetic, she hangs out with Applebloom and Sweetie Belle and Worships RD like she's the messiah and rides a scooter and only one of those things can be considered a "character trait".

Not to mention she never develops and all those are reasons I hate her and think she's worst pony.

Which I find hypocritical that we bronies lash out a Sombra for being underdeveloped and barley a character well at least he had a backstory and did things which is a barley a character than Scootaloo is a cardboard cutout.

We never see enough to show her 'personality' other then one episode, but even then..she doesn't seem anything at all like RD. In fact, its what's wrong with Gilda:She's so awkward because she is utterly fake. She reminds me of Buttercup for this reason so much. She doesn't have RD's old personality (she was very narcisstic to a point, she wasn't understanding and hadn't stopped her ego from causing problems) It wasn't until key episodes that she grew like that. Scootaloo sounds more like a bandwagon girl, following trends more then not.RD acts herself, but Scootaloo does not. She doesn't seem to allow a more girly facade to take place and won't back down from where she thinks she is because she doesn't want to show it or, perhaps, she's rather stubborn. I wouldn't say she's like RD. I would say she tries being something she's not. She's also more observant. (RD had to get her to crack to actually understand why she's doing this)

 

Other then that, you could always suggest RD's more then an idol. I wouldn't mind seeing why she thinks this way.

I used to think Scootaloo was cool, but then i went to Galacon (a convention in Germany) and met the most annoying scootaloo cosplayer in history. He was running around the place and wouldn't stop being annoying and asking for infinite brohoofs.

 

And that is why i now dislike scootaloo a tiny bit.

It wasn't one night, it was two or 3 tops. Maybe a little more since she was THAT sleep deprived. She can't be THAT sleep deprived over a night. Plus, it wasn't until Rainbow (who YELLED) was disappointed and Luna had to scream it out.

Eh, not my favorite CMC. I like her as part of the ensemble, but as a character herself she's just too much of a junior Rainbow Dash. At least the other CMC are distinct enough personalities from their sisters to be their own characters.

Scootaloo is best CMC pony. 

I think she is adorable, she is like rainbows biggest fan in ponyvill. 

She even made a Rainbow Dash fan club and gave her the rank of most awesome pony in ponyvill.

I also loved the episode where she had nightmares and her and Rainbow were like sisters. 

 

I even made some fan art on it.

I love Scoots! Her insecurities about not being cool enough for Rainbow Dash are both funny and compelling. Now with season 4 coming up, she's definitely got the sympathy factor going for her. She totally adorable to boot!
