...if I went to Equestria the one thing Im most curious about is if Lyra is really obsessed with humans or not, either way it would be fun to get to know her.

Actually...if Equestria fairs the way we do, technically, being bender swapped in the process of going to Equestria would mean that making friends with the mane six would be generally easier. Sure, I'd still go even if it meant being a girl. I can't say, and I'm sure many would agree, that I'm not curious as to what it would be like to be the opposite gender. I've always wondered. It would be quite an interesting opportunity. Especially if that opportunity consists of actually being a mare. I would enjoy it.

Hmm...  Why do most people assume that being female would make it  easier to befriend the Mane 6?  Just because most of their friends in the show are mares doesn't mean they would have any problems with befriending stallions.  Personally, I find the concept ridiculous, as almost none of my friends are the same gender as me.  Why should it even matter?

Being male isn't something I chose for myself, I was born with it, so giving it up in the process of going to Equestria doesn't seem like a sacrifice at all to me. Without hesitation I would do this. Guys and girls (stallions and mares) have their own advantages and problems to contend with. I believe I could make the adjustment just fine, from sexuality, to using the bathroom, and all of the social ramifications too. I'm simply used to the way things are. A little patience and an open mind and I'll eventually settle in.

Well, my personal reasoning is that we don't actually know that because we only see small snippets of life in Ponyville. For instance, when he took over the Crystal Empire, we know that Sombra had ponies in chains and whatnot. For all we know, he could have executed some sort of genocide himself (especially given that all the ponies in chains are Earth ponies). To give a more modern perspective, you'll notice that when the CMC consider what makes Ponyville unique in Flight to the Finish, they reply that it's a place where all the different pony races can live in harmony. To me, this being a unique trait of Ponyville would seem to imply that it isn't the case in other areas.

 

Of course, we don't know persay that prejudice is commonplace or that Sombra committed genocide. However, we also don't know that it's all hunkey-dory either. There's significant room for interpretation - I would prefer it to be a nice place though. Really, we all desire a better world and that causes us to project those desires onto Equestria.

I think I would take it, though there would be a big problem, for me that would be sexuality. Not sure I could adjust over from girls, to liking guys. Maybe after being in the new body long enough. Outside of a love life and that, sure, why not.

No... absolutely not... first... Equestria might not be the Utopia i think of from the show, secondly i'd be pretty confused about my gender and a bit ashamed. I like being the gender i am thank you very very much... but i would probably be a wizard/unicorn and i would eventually find a way to change my gender. Even if i became a futa i'd prefer that than being a mare... i have no problems with mares and girls... i just like myself as i am okay?
