Good drawings are better when they're of Rarity!

In my opinion anyway.

Anyway, here is my latest thing:

 

 

I think I did pretty good on this one if I do say so myself, I really tried to put some work into it(although it is admittedly the product of following a guide). The cutie mark probably doesn't look so good though.

Dunno what I'll be drawing next or when... or do I...

Anyway, give me your opinions on the piece if you want, be it praise or criticism.

Overall the drawing's shape of everything is pretty good. The legs however are to skinny, and her body might be a bit thin.

 

Her neck is also long, and her head maybe a bit out of proportion, not sure about the shape for sure.

 

But overall i think the shape of the whole thing isn't that off. more proportion issues really.

 

Also the mane looks well done.

It looks really well done, better than my accidents XD Maybe you could work a bit on the legs and whooves, try making it a bit more smooth and form it naturally! You have more courage than I would ever have

Wow, the work on the hair actually does seem pretty well-detailed. Overall, it's really just a few key things that I think make it feel "off", but I think you could definitely nail those given a bit of work.

 

I hope the opinion of someone who doesn't draw isn't too useless, but from what I understand, getting limbs to look correct is often a matter of visualizing the underlying bones and muscles. So for instance, back leg: If you look, for instance, at the avatar of the guy above me, you can somewhat visualize the leg bone connecting up at the center of the hips, and slanted muscles curving inwards to meet it; then leaving the kneecap area to look kind of small.Then, another muscle grows outward going down towards the hooves. Your right-side leg actually does that reasonably well up around the hips, perhaps less-so on the left-side.

 

I guess that's generally the reason art students draw early subjects nude, but please don't try to rip anyone's skin off to get better ideas for artwork =p.

It seems as though you got a lot of anatomy flaws, such as the legs body and head.

The neck is too thin it seems, and the horn, snout, and eyes are a little awkward. The legs are too thin and wobbly. The hair is good, keep doing it like that its nice. Also the coloring is nice. Just work on that anatomy. Also I'm going to say what every pony said to me a lot. Use a pony anatomy chart, it helps...A LOT

Yeah, i dunno hooves look odd being skinny to me.

 

I guess being a little skinny is ok, but this is a bit much to be honest, it needs to look like it could physical support the body of a pony(and ponys are by no means light ;p.) 

 

Critique is the best way to improve afterall, so i'm glad your accepting of it ;p. I accept all of mine, despite the fact i'm still a bit eh at drawing ;p.

 

Yeah the mane and tail are important.

 

honestly i suck at those they are a nightmare to draw for me... I'm impressed you got them so well done. So kudos there.
