technology Google Chrome issues

So recently, I've been using Google Chrome since IE was overrun by constant pop-up ads (the pop-ups for IE didn't work whatsoever, and Firefox refuses to use Adblock Plus anymore (it intentionally removed it and refuses to let me download it for Firefox), so now I'm left with Google Chrome. It all seemed fine at first, but all of a sudden, it crashed for seemingly no reason whatsoever. I figured that if I would clear out history and cookies, it would prevent it from crashing itself. Did it work? Nope. It crashed on its own once again without a reason.

I'm just wondering if Google would figure out why Google Chrome keeps crashing for no reason, even though I cleared out the history and cookies, which didn't work whatsoever... either way, has anypony else been having the same problems with Google Chrome crashing without a reason?

Chrome has been the most stable thing I have ever used -- ever. The only thing I could think of that might be causing issues is an app that is causing issues. Maybe running CCleaner will help. At any rate, good luck with it.

Hmm... I could try CCleaner, then. Hopefully it'll stop Google Chrome from crashing itself without warning. And yes, it IS the most stable browser, up until it started to crash out of random, but other than that, I'll try the CCleaner as you mentioned.

Update: Well, this is unfortunate. It worked at first after using CCleaner, but after that, Google Chrome decides to crash on its own once again. So now I'm getting a bit angry on seeing Google Chrome randomly crashing on its own for no apparent reason whatsoever... I tried clearing out cookies and history, I tried the CCleaner, and yet it continues to crash out of nowhere...

Weird, it must be something with your computer. I'm using Firefox with adblock myself and it's working perfectly. Try deleting the folder C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\ and then try reinstalling adblock.

Anyways, about your chrome crashing issue, try putting about:conflicts into the address bar and see if there's any conflict programs that makes it crash.

Go to %LOCALAPPDATA%\Google\Chrome\User Data\ (you can search for this if you don't find it) and change the name of the Default folder to something else like Default Backup or something (you can delete it too if you don't care about your profile with saved passwords and such). Then move the folder somewhere else where you can keep it if you want to restore. Now try use chrome again and see if it works. If it still doesn't work, try repair a few system files by pressing the windows button + r to bring up the run window. Put in SFC.EXE /SCANNOW if all fails.

If it still doesn't work it may be some trouble with your computer. Do a virus scan or something. If it seems clean, download and run this:
