I'd love to go, but I can't afford gas or room n' board and I don't know anyone to drag along. That seems like my curse, I'm the sort that would love to spend time at conventions and such but I don't have the means or people to go with.

For now it's looking like 50/50 for me.  Just like last year, I won't know for sure until we're about 3 months out.  The work schedule just doesn't play nice sometimes.  Last year I made it, but in 2012 I missed it by a single day because I had to go on a month-long trip.  I'm cautiously optimistic.

One thing I was wondering about that. If I remembered correctly, didn't people who registered to the forums at the convention get a special prize or something?

 

Some sort of badge for their profile that has yet to be implemented. Everyone who signed up there or logged in to their existing account was filtered into a secondary group so we can keep track of them though, so they won't be forgotten.

And I have my pass and hotel room taken care of.

 

Looking forward to spending more time with you next year than was possible this year. CD mentioned a few other mutual friends of yours going next year too, so maybe we can all form a posse and make some plans. CD and I will probably be adhered to each other most of the time anyway.
