1. You mean an Earth pony? Not sure. If a human entered the portal they would likely turn into a pony. It's not clear what happens to a non sentient being when they entry the portal.

 

2. Not sure. All we know is dragons become dogs.

 

3. Yes, but she was aiming for the frame and not the "glass".

Well, its not something we can say for sure seeing as we don't know if it has any effects based upon if the being passing through the portal is sapient or not, but i'd assume they'd need to be, just because no non sapients have passed through yet.

 

So then i guess they just wouldn't change? 

 

Idk, its really anyones guess as nothing besides the ponies cross in the portals.
