I watched as my image walked through the croud, guided by Sky Torent.

The mare turned around and her face was that of surprise.

"Pretty much the same really, getting away from everything and I suppose to find somepony too. It all depends really." He sighs heavily, Right don't get your hopes up Dust. He thinks to himself, "well, the bar is up this way, I just hope she isn't too drunk." Dust says as he sighs again.

Heh heh heh ok sure anyway I'm gonna head to my room to been awake like forty hours I'm so tired later remember make a move soon.........douche" i started running like a div and tripped over and landed on my arm funny "oh shit I think I just broke my arm hahaha oh god that's gonna hurt when the alcohol wears off" I got up went to my room closed the door took a shower and jumped into bed the last image in my mind before I drifted of was of aqua eyes

Flame  didn't hear the last word as he sat on his bed. "So today...I almost went full in flames and burned that one stallion till Princess Luna who happens to be the sister of Lunar said to stop which I did...then I punched Crit for making her sad and got Lunar to her bed...this has been one crazy day today" He said to himself

Ambrose led the way into the bar. "Hi can i have a vodka and lemon, two please" she asked the bartender. "This is the drink i found usally works the best." she said to Dust.  She noticed his sigh earlier, "Come on cheer up, its not late." she didn't intend on drinking anymore, but she wanted to cheer this pony up.

Dust gladly accepted the drink and drinks it. "I know, it's just...I hate having PTSD and depression and anxiety, being a royal guard was my dream, but because of all of it, I had to quit. and I know this sounds pathetic but, ever since I split with my ex, I've been feeling really lonely and sad."

I regained concioiousness. Gasping for air. Still in the elevator. I looked around and found myself in the small box room.

'So, do you know what you learned.'

-i...- i recalled the events that played before me. -i think I did.-

'And what was that lesson.'

-that I shouldn't blame others for my short comings. It was my fault, I should have known he was leading me to a fixed situation.-

'I was going to say, don't say a mares flank is big, but hey. That sounds good to. I guess.'

-so now what.-

'That depends on you. Do you want happiness. Or do you wish to be your cynical, sulky self.'

With that. The voice was gone.

The doors to the elevator opened to the lobby. I walked out, into the lobby. And... no one was there. I was alone. The bar keep was gone. And along with Flame, Connor, and Dust. And... Lunar. I walked to the stool and sat down. I let my thoughts stir, until.

"Hello Mr. Critical." The voice said. I looked up and saw the familiar figure.

"Hello again, Princess Luna." I was too depressed to be afraid. So I just looked with eyes so heavy.

Critic: "so what brings you here. I have enough on my mind as is."

Luna: "I heard of what happened with my young sister. I'm disapointed, to say the least."

Critic: "you wouldn't exactly be the only one." I saw her face, it showed that of sheer disappointment.

"Mind passing me a drink." Luna passes a glass of alcohol to me.

Luna: "You know why I have come here."

Critic: "I can imagine, but I'm not in a talking mood."

Luna: "very well then. But know this, harm her again. And I'll make sure your next fall, you won't be walking away from."

Critic: "whatever. Pass some more scotch please."

Luna: "this isn't scotch. You're not really here." -say what?- "you've been in your bathroom drinking from yourtoilet the last few minutes."

I blink and find my head near the bowl and my mouth filled with water. I spit the content and look around and find a note.

 

Dear Critical,

That's for hurting our sister.

Ambrose scooted a little closer to Dust she felt bad for him "depression PTSD, yep have had both, mainly it revolves around my wings. I might tell you a little later, not out in public. Well that's what friends are for I guess". She to sighed, "Don't worry, ill try an help you, that what made me happy again."

Dust did his best to smile, "It's ok Ambrose, you don't have to tell me what happened if you don't want to." He takes another sip of his drink, then sees Princess Luna, "Buck! Hide me! I can't let her see me like this... the mare I upset...she's her sister! and she's disappointed in me enough already." He tries to hide.

"It's okay Dust, just sit here with me" she said calmly. She slowly sipped her drink as Luna walked into, then out of the room. "See she's gone, she has a lot on her plate, dont worry, am here." Ambrose smiled at Dust who was trying to hide behind his chair. And Ambrose thought she was shy.

Whew! That was a close one! Dust Storm comes out from hiding. "Thank you Ambrose," He sits back down and sips at his drink. He smiles at her, "Today has just been so stressful" he sighs again, Don't push it mate, you don't want to blow your chances with this beautiful mare like you did with Lunar Dance. He thinks to himself, "Umm.. Lunar.. I mean Ambrose, when you said helping me helped you feel better and happy before, was that just helping others in general, or..or helping me?" Way to go, sounding nervous again!

"Yes, sorry about that. Like I said, today has been very stressful, and I guess I'm still hurt about what Lunar did." Crap! Why in Equestria did I have to call her Lunar! He downs the rest of his drink and slumps in his chair, "Well I like flying, that usually calms me down, and listening to the weather, when it's really stormy. And.. what do you mean by a whole new level?"

Ambrose gave gave him a hug. "It's okay Dust, I don't mind" se had seen him slump in his chair after he noticed he called her Lunar. She then switched back to flying "I wish I still had my wings, flying is supposed to be the thing in the world. Anyway should we head back up?" She said.

Dust slaps himself, "I'm so sorry, I...I didn't mean to mention flying, it just slipped out when you asked what made me happy. and I..I get nervous around beautiful mares. O..ok, what floor are you on? I'm on the top floor." He offers a hoof to lead her to the elevator.

Ambrose giggled "it's okay don't worry about it" she took his hoof and went with him to the elevator. "I am also on the top floor, so that makes life easier." The elevator soon reached the top floor. Ambrose walked to her door and tried to open it, she couldn't, "huh that's weird" she said to Dust, "my door won't open"

 

((I don't fly often, but am going on a scuba diving trip so next week or so will be away in the afternoons and late morning))

Dust suggests, "If you can't get it open, I'll go down to the front desk and complain, and if they can't solve it.. m..maybe you could spend the night in my room, I'll just s..sleep on the floor."

Ambrose double checked the key. "It says it's the right number. Hmmm, shall we I down to the front desk then?" This time she offered him her hoof and walked to the elevator, once again they reached the desk without incident. "Excuse me but there seems to be a problem with my room key?" She said to the desk pony. "Ah yes, about that room," said the desk pony looking at the key,

"We had a slight mix up of key, the door to your is currently locked to prevent anyone getting in, we have order new keys that should arrive tomorrow morning, we have another hotel if you wish, and once again we are very sorry about this". Ambrose looked at the snow pounding the windows "well um, is there any chance I could share your room or..." She left the sentence unfinished,

Dust Storm shakes his head and asks the pony at the front desk, "How long will it take for her room to be unlocked sir?"

The pony says, "We cannot tell sir, it has been like this for a while, we're very sorry."

Dust looks at Ambrose, "Well, my offer still stands, if you want to, you can share my room until this gets sorted out?"

Ambrose smiled again "sure I would love to, but please, I can take the floor," part of her hoped her room stayed locked. The desk pony said one last thing "mama do you happen to have an ID, something might be arranged then?" Ambrose looked at him "no it's locked in my room, could you open and I could show you" the desk pony shook his head "an sorry we need ID up front due to security reasons." Ambrose mentally cheered.

Dust Storm starts to feel weak and nervous again, Was this planned by Ambrose from the start, or just a fluke? He asks himself, "very well, and if you insist on it. But i would have no problem sleeping on the floor." He says as they walk to the elevator, "You know what, I don't even care if we bump into Lunar anymore!" he says out loud, then covers his mouth..

Ambrose was happy for the first time in a while her father had died before she had left and this was causing her hell. She didn't notice but a single tear fell from her eye. She waited patiently for Dust to open the door

Dust Storm opens his room door, and steps aside, "Mares first" he says politely to Ambrose. Celestia's sake Dust, you have an extraordinarilly kind and beautiful mare sleeping in your room, you lucky dog, He thinks to himself. After Ambrose walks in, he walks in after her, making sure not to look at her flank, so she doesn't think he's a pervert.

Ambrose giggled again "what a gentlecolt" she walked into the small hotel room, it was actually perfect for two ponies. Just as in her room there we sheets and pillows in the closet. She arrange in a bed like way right near Dust's bed. "Ah there we go" she said "perfect!"
