Thanksgiving. What are you going to do?

I know some don't celebrate it but for those who do, what are you going to do?

 

I know damn well I'm going to eat so much. It's the only time of the year I can eat as much as I want and

 

not feel bad. I'm going to spend time with my immediate family then go to my uncles to eat their food.

I'm just going to have some turkey, and pie with my parents. Maybe watch a thanksgiving special or two. Once thanksgiving is done we'll put up the Christmas tree, and I can finally put up my Pinkie Pie Ornament.

My sister and her husband are coming over and that's really the only special thing that's happening.

I'm going to be forced to go to Thanksgiving dinner. I don't eat much anymore so I probably won't even eat at all. Then I'll get yelled at by my grandmother for starving myself. This Thanksgiving is going to be goddamn hell for me. I'll spend the rest of the day in my room like I usually do.

Maybe play a few rounds of Team Fortress 2 and remind the southerners that they owe the glorious Commonwealth of Massachusetts for Thanksgiving while the family prepares the meal, then stuff myself with turkey.

Tomorrow I'll be doing a bunch of house cleaning in preparation for the big day, as there will be company here on Thanksgiving. Then on Thanksgiving Day, I'll be pitching in with the cooking with the rest of my folks. I'll probably start by peeling potatoes and then gradually helping out with whatever else needs to get done. Then we're all gonna give our thanks, spend time together, and enjoy the meal. That's about it! After that, I'm going to avoid Black Friday like the plague and try not to think too much about Christmas.

Since they decided that this year Black Friday would happen on Thanksgiving afternoon, I will be working it. I'll be sleeping the first half of the day (I hope) because I work the night before.

Every year my parents and I go to an aunt's place where we spend the day with her, my uncle, and their two kids. One of the kids has been fighting a very tough case of cancer for a while now and he's getting some kind of advanced chemo treatments from a hospital in another state. We're going to go visit him down there and take all of the food we normally fix. Taking some extra for the other family that's sharing the place at which he's staying.

Spend it alone, probably eating something out of a can...I'm just kidding... sort of.

 

 I might go eat out, depends on how I feel when the day comes around. Most likely, I won't do anything too special.

I'm going to be trying to get my head around Flash and building assets for a custom MLP video I'm going to try to release!  So... I just have to learn the whole program... yeah.  I got this.  Maybe.  Other than that, wishing my car worked so I could travel and spend thanksgiving with my sister...

Gonna celebrate it today, since my boyfriend has to work on Black Friday at some weird time in the afternoon. We'll be having Thanksgiving dinner in a few hours. Other than that? I can't think of much. Wednesday's my day off though, so I'm just gonna be chillaxing until 3 AM 'cause we gotta turn our sleep schedule upside down for his weird work hours.

Seriously, no one ever tells me about these things until the day of. I'd expect dinner at Grandma's house, maybe going out to eat somewhere. But I never get to know these things more than a day in advance.

Well, I already celebrated Thanksgiving. My family did it early because my mom was going to be working all week. Anyway, it was nice. Spent the day with my brothers, had some delicious food, and overall had an okay time. Nothing too special.

We'll, just got over a flu and the only thing I've had to eat in the last two days has been 2 pieces of toast and half a roll of crackers. So I'm going over to my cousin's house to have a nice Thanksgiving meal with my family.

I'm going to do a thing called a "break in", it's where I buy a Thanksgiving dinner for a whole family that is less fortunate, and deliver it to them, so they can have a good Thanksgiving. This year was the first time I'm attempting to do it, though. I've been in financial ruin, and I've been barely able to afford anything, so I've been working my butt off getting the money, but it's worth it. By the time I'll be done, Thanksgiving will be over, and I'll basically eat a hot pocket and go to bed.

I had my first Thanksgiving of the year yesterday. My husband and my uncles friend argued about whether video games cause violence or not. My husband was respectful. My uncles friend was a total bitch, rolling her eyes whenever he spoke. 

 

Having the second one tomorrow. My judgey mother in law will be here. I'm sure she'll have some "wise words of wisdom" she's decided she needs to impart on me. I'll probably fake a migraine and head to bed to play Link Between Worlds.

I'm at the station tomorrow so we moved ours back to Friday. It won't be all bad though. The public usually gives us food every year so I'll probably get a free thanksgiving dinner. If not, we'll probably make our own anyway.
