What does 'thread approved' mean?

Hi there: I got a notification saying my topic was approved: that sounds nice and all but I haven't got that notification before and I'm a little confused what that even means, could somebody please explain what that's all about?

I've talked with an admin and it appears this is a minor bug thats being looked at. It shouldn't do any harm so there isn't anything to worry about. 

Ima lock this up now seeing as its concluded.
