general What does Valentine's Day mean to you?

Singles awareness day, is what it means to me. I've never taken part in it, either way it's just to get people to shag. Why not just shag all year round and eat candy while at it. 

 

Happy being alone anyway so meh.

It has never meant anything to me before because I have never had anyone to share it with. This year since I finally found someone who doesn't hate me or think I am weird, I feel kind of scared. I feel like I'm going to mess up somehow and ruin our relationship. Not to mention, I have heard so many stories of couples breaking up on Valentine's Day. It scares me to think that it could happen to me.

As someone who has never had a Girlfriend, Valentines day has had no meaning to me since like Middle School. I don't see Valentines Day as a real holiday. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but from my understanding It's a hallmark holiday. A holiday that was conceived at a conference table to be celebrated on a certain day and was one that just so happened to stick. 

 

Even though i don't see Valentines day as a real Holiday, I'm sure it will have meaning to me once I do get a Girlfriend, but until then, It's just February 14th.

I never had a Girlfriend or Relationship in the last 10 years or so... ( i only once kissed a girl when i was much younger...and that was it ) so i even forgot Valentines Day exists.

 

For me, its pointless.

Normally, it just means nothing. I don't wait for Valentines day. I surprise people the year round. Some big, some small. I don't need a fancy day to be adorable.

For me, Valentines day means another chance to create a work of art or Youtube video for everyone I'm friends with to see. I'm not really in a relationship so I work to boost my friendships or try to get more subscribers on Youtube, Inevitably failing anyway. I'm terrible at gaining subscribers, but just fine at making friends.

To me, it mostly means "don't eat out today, restaraunts be packed." Seriously though, it's just another day to enjoy in the way I see best fit. I must admit that I'm not exactly the biggest fan of valentines day. The red, white and pink motif is just really cliche and unpleasant and the whole holiday feels manufactured to me. Like something simply doesn't feel right.

Well, I am a bit indifferent to Valentines Day (leaning towards the more positive side), but I I don't mind it . In fact, I view it as something positive . It is kinda like Christmas, where people find reasons to come together and become closer to one another, but instead of focusing on the family, it is focusing on pairs . So I find it great that people have come up with a rather international day to come together and be more closer . 

 

Otherwise I have never actually fully celebrated it . But it is still a cute and fun day
