Did RainbowDash annoy you in Daring Don't?

In my personal opinion, yes she did. Mostly because she had her moments, mostly through the whole episode, she kept asking Daring Doo to help, mostly just because she was her hero, and didn't really focuse on the main problem, really, just trying to impress her, but I guess that's RD :P

But when Daring was attacked by the ponies at her home, and the mane 6 didn't help but just watched, Annie the hell out of me. So that's what I think

How about you guys?

Yes, and RD usually annoys me. But in this episode I found her particularly irritating; the fact that she didn't help Daring Do at all, and in even struggled to help her in the end (I remember watching them lift the rings and RD trying to flap her wings, and shouting at my laptop: "You can do a Sonic Rainboom! This can't be that hard!"). Plus, she kept saying how much she wanted to impress her, and yet didn't impress her in the slightest. I also felt that the whole relationship between them felt very rushed.

Try meeting your idol and acting 'normal', yeah i bet you cant. She was just REALLY excited to meet Daring Do, and she didnt know how to act around her.

The real annoying one is Pinkie..

I can see what your trying to say

I would act a little crazy, but I would actually try to help, and realize that this is a serious problem

And pinkie didn't even really talk through the whole episode..

That's very true--being star-struck I have no problem with. But if my hero was getting attacked by three giant guys, I'd do something to try and help them. I mean, my gosh! I idolize them, don't I?

And Pinkie does have her annoying moments, but frankly, I can't stand Rainbow Dash's constant egoism and general "I am the most awesome being on the planet" attitude. I can stomach it if it's played up for laughs, like in Johnny Bravo, but I know way too many people like that in real life, and seeing it in my entertainment just annoys me.

But that's neither here nor there--I found her irritating in this episode. Come to think of it, I found most of this episode irritating, starting with the fact that Daring Do is a real pony.

I like Rainbow Dash, but this was way over the top for her, even though she really wanted to meet and seek admiration from her idol, which she eventually did (sorry for the spoilers for those who haven't seen the episode yet).

I have to admit, she did get a bit on my nerves... Especially when Daring Do was fighting off the cats and Rainbow Dash asked her if she wanted her hat. She's kind of busy, Dashie, I really don't think she needs her hat at the moment...The cringe I experienced was sort of reminiscent of the mare do well episode.

But to be fair, it's an understandable scenario and she turned around at the end. If I met the ghost of Mr. Rogers somehow, I think I would be in a fairly similar state too.

Rainbow Dash wasn't the one I would expect fangirling in this episode but, I guess the title is the hint. At times, her idolizing of Daring Do was like putting the one you look up to on a pedestal. Not saying it's a bad thing though, but it got pretty annoying.

She annoyed me a little in this episode with her constant fangirling on Daring Do. This is why Daring was so fed up with her.

No, not really.

A little, but nothing to bash her for and get angry about. Damn.

It was just Rainbow Dash being Rainbow Dash.

So...haters gonna hate, I guess?

I dunno. It's kinda strange taking the pro-RD side, but I think I'm right here.

So...yeahh.

Just a little, but no more than usual, and certainly nothing to get mad about.

Daring do:

At first yes...but eventually I learned to put with her...and even enjoy her company a little bit...

Me:

No, she actually didn't. I found it quite humorous, especially since it's all really true. That stuff actually happens...

Rainbow got downright annoying in this episode, but I think that this was intentional.

My problem with this is that Rainbow took part in some really big events, like the dragon, Nightmare Moon, Discord... I don't know if she should feel like Daring Do is so superior. Although we don't know of the stories told in the other books, that can be real and so Daring may have done some really crazy awesome stuff. Anyway, until proven otherwise, I'll just say that Daring is not that impressve. She is not in a stained glass in the throne room, after all. But back in track: this is the lesson in this episode.

In the end, the problem I have with this is that I felt that she was manipulated into acting like this when she shouldn't (she didn't go insane like that with the Wonderbolts). But I had fun watching her fangirling all over the episode. Particularly the scene where she is slapping herself to get under control.

For dumb, self-important fics about mythology, ponies and fascist griffons that can't figure friendship out.

And I'm just getting started.

I didn't find her to be particularly annoying, she was just excited. We have seen her get the same way around the Wonderbolts. Though as others have said, it did still bother me how useless she and the rest of the mane 6 were when Daring was being attacked.

I wouldn't say she was annoying..She was being a fan girl (or is it fan pony?). She was so excited to be having an adventure with her hero, that she lost sight of actually helping Daring Do.

I can't blame her though. How would any of us react to being able to have an adventure with one of our heroes? I would certainly be fanboying if the TARDIS appeared at my front door, and the Doctor wanted me to join him to save the universe. But hopefully I would regain my composure enough to actually be of some help.

So I really can't blame Dashie for acting the way she did.

Oh big time. I can agree that she was star struck, but she went way further than that in this episode. I'll let the bit at the end with the ring slide because RD focuses on speed rather than strength, but given all of RD's characterization up to this point, she should be more competent. Just look at when she met the wonderbolts at the gala. She was able to impress them there, why wouldn't she be able to remain just as level headed when meeting her hero of only a few months as she was when she met her heroes since she was just a little filly.

No, but only very specific things in substantial amounts while i'm not in a good mood annoy me. RD didn't fit that in this episode for me. She was just acting a bit crazy due to meeting a big idol of hers. She didn't think things through as much and stuff.

but no she didn't annoy me personally, i'm easily amused maybe to, and tolerable most of the time.

I hated that Dashie, the most likely to join in a fight out of all the mane 6, just stood and watched Daring kick ass the whole time.

Pinkie LITERALLY had about 4 lines of dialog in the whole episode.

It was kind of annoying, but I did find it a little funny here and there. Just would've been nice if RD had actually helped her before.

But dayum. THAT GRIN.
