Why does this competition feel like i'm in the middle of a real football game? I'll be honest with you... i don't like football games and their mindless enthusiasm... Just saying... k? I just thought that this would be a little different you know? That we'd each give a simple reason why we think each character is better than the other. Expectations too high? 

Sorry matey. This thread's more like a soccer stadium. You can have friendly debates outside this thread. That's what the rest of the forums are for. I don't mind them in reality, but if they're at the wrong places, things can get ugly like they did in March Madness...

 

That being said... I wish I had some upsets... this World Cup's been a failure in that respect.

Putting the pony who's fan club is 7k posts against a background pony who has only been in the spotlight for a EqG2 short.

 

 

That is just cruel man, vinyl ain't go no chance.

That's been the thing with the last 5 matches ((including this one)). There are so many pairings that would make for interesting fights but these are not these ones. I can just see the banner we have now and determine a winner.

Ya, but then someone makes a "apple jack is orange background" joke, and someone takes offense, and then a firestorm ensues.

So with this fandom, and with popular pone contests, it is best to just stick to promoting your favorite one, and leaving the actual in depth discussion elsewere.

Whoa, man, don't put this all on me. Most of the people cheering are telling you just to root for Vinyl.

 

Also, yes, actually, they are. Rules of this tourney say don't put down any of the ponies, so expecting to break the rules set forth are indeed too high of expectations.

Ugh... Mane 6 Fashionista or Best Background Pony (IMO)... Mane 6 or background...

 

Vinyl has the silent mystique/awesomeness-thing going for her but Rarity is genuinely likeable and generous.

 

Pon-3 has a kickin' non-canon bass-cannon that'll blast your face full of wubs and epicness... but Rarity has that beautifully melodic singing voice that makes me go :wub:
