Good morning gijinkas!  XD  So my campus sent out an email last night saying they were going to be shut down today because the forecast last night told us to expect a foot of snow.  It is only now starting to snow, quite a bit later than predicted.  Now I'm home alone all day with Pokemon.  :3

I was thinking of introducing a Mew gjinka, but he won't be OP. The way I'll balance him is that he'll have the mentality of a 5 year old and be an idiot in general. 

 

"Mew hungry!" results in him whining like a baby.

If it's a child and can't control the powers, maybe. The problem with legendaries is that you need to impose some kind of a limit on them so they don't become either overpowered, or just too mary/marty-s(t)u-ish in general. I mean, yeah Lhee brought it Raiga, and no offense, I don't really like him he seems kind of flat as a character to me, especially considering we already have a monk character to round out that aspect, but he seems to have a limit of not taking a direct approach to things. I feel that having a very young legendary is better just because they don't understand the powers that they have, and therefore, can get away with random bursts of energy, but not using it consistently. Kind of like the Avatar State for Aang in the first two seasons of TLA, or Misty's Togepi in the anime.

Eh... I don't know. I don't know if bringing a character who is part "ancestor of all pokemon". Even if he can't control his powers, I'm not a big fan of it.

I think it sounds like a fun idea.  Then again, I love the "small" legendaries like Mew and Celebi.

I had considered other backstories for him, but the student body was severely lacking a voice of reason niche.  I was aware Nico was also a monk type character when I made him, but Nico's first act at arriving at the school was also to get into a fight.  Honestly there's been an absurd amount of fighting for it being 3 days into the RP.  As far as character depth, I'm hoping to delve into him more as the RP progresses.  So far the only one who's shown interest in interacting with him though has been Nik shooting leech seeds at him.  There's more to him than he's shown so far, just hasn't had a chance to show any of it.

 

(Stressing that I'm in no way upset by what you said, just trying to justify him xD  everyone's entitled to their own opinons)

Alright, I can respect that. I think there does need to be a voice of reason as well, I just feel that it could have been done a bit better in terms of a solemn fighting or psychic-type. But a monk character of any variety is good as well. And it's true, there hasn't been much interaction with him other than Nik being a nosy bugger and trying to spray his seeds all over him... errr... I mean... No, you know what? That's an apt description.

 

Anyway, that's cool. I think when the campers return, I'll probably have Koh meet up with him and they can interact and possibly get some more character development brewing.

It's just feeling kind of dead, but I'm thinking that's more due to the fact that nobody is really online. Leafeon hasn't responded at all in the past couple of days, and I kind of want stuff to happen in town, but I'm not sure if everyone who went to town had a chance to say something yet.
