Eh, it's a number of factors at this point.   This makes 3 DM's that have bowed out now, which while never mind the OOC parts of that, IC it's a pain to "forget" about the characters they've played.  Plus I've barely kept up with the RP these past couple days - haven't had much time to sit down and write a post, and I really don't feel like reading through the 3 pages of relationship dialogue that my email kept notifying me about through my phone.

 

I don't exactly want to quit, but I'm also kind of at a point where all of my characters are kinda hanging around with minimal interaction.  Having to move things around and re-write things is just kind of pushing me away more than I already am.

However, if I do end up becoming the DM, I'll try to keep this going a little longer. But now that I think about it, it might be a better to choose someone else. Kind of exactly my point.  I like the relationship kind of stuff in an RP - it adds character development and depth to the interactions.  When I come back to an RP and find over 3 pages of nothing but that, especially when none of it even remotely impacts any of the characters you're playing in the RP, it feels like a great big sign to go away more than anything else.  Part of the reason I try to avoid romance-oriented RP's, characters partner up and then it becomes really awkward for anyone else to try and interact with them.

They're friends and room mates, thats all.  Razor was pretty much the only one that Lhee hung out with because she's been the only one to seek him out, he's too antisocial for it to be the other way around.  Pretty sure the concept of a relationship has never even crossed Lhee's skull.

Started a Light Platinum Nuzlocke while I recover from Cann dying. Losing him was a hard hit to the team, as the only ones really trained up were him, Marshtomp, and Numel. Once I feel up to mega grinding to get everyone up to par, I'm going to do a Light Platinum Nuzlocke. So far my team is Pat the Squirtle, Elekid, and Steve the Wurmple. Technically Elekid died, but that first route in Light Platinum is complete bull shit without the patch with the healing chick. So yea. As soon as I get into Central City, the death part of the Nuzlocke will come into effect.

I decided to break the fic into chapters, makes it easier on me. Chapter 1 is pure romance and fluff, no smut. Here's Chapter 1

 

Nik smiled warmly as he walked out the door of the academy. His behavior may have been bad,  but with his intelligence, he was able to graduate with. The years had barely changed Nik, making him only a few inches taller (putting him at 5’3”) and adding a few hairs to his head. Melissa, on the other hand, had filled out quite a bit, gaining a muscular toned physique as well as surpassing Nik in height, reaching 5’8”. Melissa walked out with him, giggling a bit as Nik took off the fancy suit he had worn.

 

“God, I hated that” Nik muttered, taking the suit off and replacing it with his typical jacket.

 

“It looked cute on you” Melissa snickered, giving him a peck on the cheek. Nik blushed and nodded with her.

 

“I guess” he agreed, having discarded pride long ago. He rolled his eyes as he saw Rune and Synthia making out, practically choking on each other’s tongues. “Ugh, can they do it privately?” Nik gagged, making as if to walk up to them. A vice like hand on his shoulder stopped him in his tracks.

 

“Nuh uh, you are not going to do that” Melissa chided, keeping her hand on his shoulder. Nik turned around, smirking.

 

“I like it when you stop me, makes you feel strong” Nik purred, using his tail to boost himself up to Melissa’s height. They had long since passed the kissing barrier but Nik never grew tired of nibbling her Melissa’s delicious, red, upper lips. Melissa returned the favor with Nik’s lower lips, groaning a bit. “My lady” Nik smirked, making a playful bow as he created a Substitute to carry Melissa.

 

“How nice, and to think you were such a douche back in the day” Melissa laughed, waving off the Substitute. “I’ll walk myself thanks, unlike you, I actually work out” Melissa joked, briefly flexing. Nik rolled his eyes and huffed.

 

“I work out” he muttered, following Melissa to his car(Mick had pulled a few strings).

“You barely walk anywhere, you just Teleport” Melissa said, rolling her eyes as she entered the car. Nik stuck his tongue out at her and pressed the gas pedal, driving for an apartment Mick had lent them.
