American Football: Love it or hate it?

I hate it because its so illogical  for the following reasons:

-The ball isn't shape of a ball(sphere) its more like a double edge cone

-You hardly use your foot at all in it

But I would love her the other-side of the argument of why people love American Football.So what do you think its football completely illogical or is there something I am missing?

I hate it right now because my favorite teams suck.

 

But otherwise football is great because it is athletic, action-packed, and if you try to follow offensive and defensive schemes it can be brain stimulating. Might be too physical and the concussion issue is a real thing, but it's a spectacle. NFL has done a good job of keeping themselves in the national conversation all throughout the year even if they're in the offseason with the draft and training camp. 

 

As for the name thing, I don't care if its called football and I don't try to make sense of it. Secretly, it's kinda fun that it gets European peoples' panties in a bunch.

You don't need logic it's a game lol.

I love football, I find nothing wrong with it, and it's very entertaining to see so many good athletes shine.

I don't see why you hate it just because it doesn't go by it's name. The football its technically a ball.

And you NEED to use your foot to even start the game, and make 3 pointers or add 1 extra point to your six point touchdown.

Some field goal kicks even decide who's going to the super bowl and who's not.

So all of that, all of that, is wrong.

I really dislike football.  

The players get paid WAY too much to throw a ball around and tackle each-other.  

I live in one of those towns who's whole reputation is built up on football, and the way they glorify it and build up a whole week for a game is just dumb.

 In my opinion it is very overrated and not fun to watch in the slightest.  But that is entirely my opinion. (all except the first point.)

I honestly couldn't care less about American football. I'm more a fan of Football/Soccer anyways so I'm very biased on my thoughts on American Football.

Loving American football was part of my upbringing so how could I say anything else?  It was something I learned from my father at a young age.    If you were born and raised in Philly you root for the Eagles in the NFL and the Penn State Nittany Lions in the NCAA.  That's just the way it is.  There are some Philly NFL followers who claim to be Dallas fans, but that's only because Dallas has won several Super Bowls while the Eagles have never...and will never...win one. 

 

But I don't "impose" my fondness of this brand of football on another person any more than I force my Broniness on them.  I know a bit about soccer too.  If I had the occasion to watch an association football match with any of you, I'd have virtually as much fun doing that as well.

I don't love American football I think its OK I find it entertaining and I only watch it when they're playing in Wembley because Im british(It was the Pittsburgh Steelers vs Minnestoa Vikings. I used to think it was a boring game and I didn't understand why they wore protective stuff. its arguably tougher than rugby

 

association football is growing in the US thats nice too.

To understand American football you gitta experince the game first hand. Gotta go tailgate with the fantics, feel the energy in the stadium when your team scores or sacks the opposing QB. Have faith in your team every year even thiugh they sucked fir the past 14 seasons

In Australia they have Aussie Rules Football its the Number 1 sport in Australia even though I heard others say rugby. Australia has their own kind of Grid Iron and Canada has theirs too. Canadian football is weird.

We do we have AFL and Rugby ,but we also have sports clubs that do American Football (Grid Iron)

I tried to get into but couldn't, they stop the action way too much which is seriously annoying playing it is fun though. I have always found it more fun to play sports than to watch them anyway, the only sport I really watch is wrestling.

I do like American Football, you'll always see some action, drama, and maybe some scoring between two teams. But honestly, I'm more into College Football than NFL because college players play the game like they LOVE it. NFL, it's always like "HERE I'LL GIVE YOU ONE BILLION DOLLARS IF YOU PLAY FOR US FOR 3 YEARS." and sometimes you can't tell if these players are playing with passion or playing for the money.

 

I also like Football/Soccer too, don't get me wrong. xD

I'm much more of an artistic type than athletic type, personally, but I get a sense of enjoyment from watching sports and finding teams to root for. The only team I root for that doesn't change every year are the Texas Rangers
