Imagine if a famous athelete from a rival town showed up asking for specail treatment?

 

I'm assuming main hatten has it's own team like the wonder bolts.

I'm saying the cabbies reaction was based on sports association.

 

The wonder bolts are a sports team on the show.

No the Wonderbolts, which she isn't one, seems to be a national group and not really a sports team. I see then more as the Thunderbirds or Blue Angels. As others said, they didn't get the cab because the other ponies were dicks and they had to show her generosity coming back to help her. Even if Twilight had gone all Princess on the cabbies she still would have failed in getting one. Heck even Luna would have failed because the writers wanted everypony to fail.

Rainbow Dash isn't a Wonderbolt, so you're wrong there. No matter what your status in Manehattan is, the cabbies wouldn't stop for you especially with the long line of angry customers.

She's not a wonderbolt and also what?  Those ponies wouldn't have let Rarity in anyway. I mean, some everyday pony thinks she's good enough to cut in front of everypony just because she's in a hurry? They aren't having that. I mean they should have, she IS the main character. Didn't they notice the camera followed her around? Or that she was way more thought out compared to everyone else?
