If MLP had a lot of toilet humour jokes, would it still be succesful ?

No. A reason MLP is good is because it is above toilet humor. There was only one poop joke in the first season and it went by so fast, you barely had time to recognize it the first time.

What was it ? Please tell me

No, if it was i'd probably leave. I really love the humor in the show, because it's clever. Those jokes ain't clever.

However, the spy did make a 'Yo momma' joke funny, so...

I am not trying to start a debate here and anyone who quotes me or contacts me about what I'm about to say will not get the satisfaction of a reply.

Here is what I want to say:

I find it absolutely hilarious and disgusting that while it seems no one would be okay with a harmless poop joke, it's still okay for the fandom to be at war over the rights of a Tumblr blog dedicated to joking about rape and molestation. While this blog is in no way canon, Bronies have fallen in love with it despite its lack of appeal and advocacy of rape culture.

It definitely would not work with MLP.

I try to be all highbrow and talk about how fart jokes aren't funny or something to do with poop jokes won't make me laugh, but sometimes they just get me and I find myself busting a gut laughing and then hating myself afterwords, lol.

Same here. Poop jokes may be low class, but that doesn't mean they're not funny  I do think the show is better off without them, but I wouldn't be too bothered by just a little one every now and then, if it's clever and relevant to the situation.

There's also a big difference between poop jokes and pee jokes. The former works on gross out factor and induces cringe, whereas the latter works on embarrassment factor and induces blush  And the Last Roundup scene was interesting that it wasn't even really presented as a joke, but just something that tends to happen on long train rides.

I think MLP's humor is based strongly on references. Sadly for me, I don't get them because I don't watch TV or am involved that much in the brony fandom.

There has been references to the fandom, and I completely saw past them.

Anyway, I think fanservice is getting a little too far in this season, me no likey.

Nope, wouldn't work. I mean, can you imagine the Mane 6 sitting around a camp fire... discussing the fine points of friendship... and farting? Not a good thought is it? What's even worse is Celestia doing it... Or Luna 'raising the moon'.

Oh God, I just envisioned every single one of those things... and now I can't un-know them.

I would say no. I can't imagine mlp having toilet humor. It would not feel right. Also I find toilet humor to be one of the lowest forms of comedy. It can be funny if done right most toilet humor I've seen mostly comes off as just disgusting.

Plus a lot of other cartoons that aired around the time mlp came out used quite a bit of toilet humor so it wouldn't be anything new.

I dont think so, I mean I would laugh at some of them here and there but, one of the reasons I like MLP is because of it's current humor.

I think in the end toilet jokes would ruin it for me.

Toilet humor is the cheapest and laziest form of humor, its very easy to throw one in with little context and that would kill the show if it was here.

MLP:FIM surprisingly has some great lore to it if you know where to look and each episode must uphold these facts, anything out of context will kill the pacing and make it hard to bear and well. Toilet humor is never really in context, Thankfully the writers at Hasbro are great at what they do and still have plenty of smart ideas to keep us all entertained without having to use really bad jokes.

A samurai pyromancer? That's a bit overpowered.

I personally make butt fart toilet humor all the time (because I'm immature with humor), but it wouldn't be the premise of MLP. Normally girls don't like that stuff too much anyways... I can just see them all going "eww", and the target audience would never watch it and MLP would go down in flames. XD

No, I wouldn't watch it if it had tons of toilet humor in it. I love the show for what it is now. If they added a bunch of toilet humor to it it'd probably be taken off the hub as they don't want a kids show to be inappropriate.
