It's been quite a while since I've drawn any OC art, and it's been even longer since I've drawn a pony. But now that I made a new OC recently, I thought I'd make some art of him for his character page. His name is Ronin, and he's a samurai without a master so... A ronin... Heh. Anywho, What do you guys think?

Ps.- I used references for the sword, but I can't find the artist to credit :/

@, The name of the OC could use work. Perhaps instead of Ronin, a play on the word...?

I don't know. Just a suggestion. But the artwork (What I'm here to talk about) is wonderful. :)

thanks again! And I chose the name ronin because he's a lone samurai, and ronin literally means samurai without a master soooo yeah XD

thank you for the feedback. And could you please elaborate on what you mean by a better name? Do you mean the OC's name?

Yeah. Sort of. The name is already a particular term and sounds slightly uninspired. I would go for something more unique. I wouldn't know what to suggest without knowing the character's story but you can always play with the words "lonely" and "without a master" to create something new. But also to add to my post earlier, I have to say that the cutie mark should be bigger than it is and the curvy line of the front leg where the knee is should extend slightly beyond the lower body from that angle. I also wonder why you used the Big Macintosh model but didn't add the particular type of hoof that would be visible for him which is difficult to describe.

wow, thanks for the detailed feedback. I'll try to remember this stuff the next time I draw. And I didn't use a Big Mac model, I think it just seems that way because of the wheat thing in his mouth.

I see. It looks like the model used for Big Mac in regards to the body and legs, not the mane. I know of that model along with a couple others, what I would call the Dr. Whooves model and the Mr. Cake model. All with different body types. Big Mac is the bulky one.

I know, but I didn't use any models. I only used one reference for the sword, but that's about it. It's not really my best work, but it's my best pony yet in my opinion.
