technology [No longer interested] Is mining Litecoin (or any cryptocurrency) worth it?

Edit: Well this topic got bumped. I completely forgot I created this thread. In any case, my interest in mining is long gone.

I once considered mining Bitcoin, but I eventually learned that mining it with a GPU is extremely inefficient. But from what I know, mining Litecoin is much easier to mine since dedicated mining cards can't be used. But is investing in Litecoin or, I suppose, in any cryptocurrency worth it? Does anyone here mine?

I don't know what's special about lifecoin in particular, but with the most popular one, bitcoin, it comes down to your setup. On a normal computer? No, the electricity costs to run it cost more than what you'll get. With a dedicated setup? Barely. Mining still isn't a way to get rich or anything like that, and requires a huge investment.

Dogecoin though? Very money. Such riches. Wow. (I hate this meme but I had to do it.)

I've kind of heard most of those have just become black-market currency for sites on the darknet that sell drugs and the like now, so I wouldn't assume so.

No, bitcoin is most definitely NOT for drugs.

Wasn't designed for it, but 9/10 illegal activities are what untraceable digital currency like Bitcoins get used for because most people working on the up-and-up are just going to get paypal, a credit card, or a pre-paid debt card for online transactions.
