@,

.....I'm still waiting. You claimed

You have not given any evidence to support this. If you condemn me for jumping to conclusions, condemn yourself for doing the exact same thing

Go to any public school, you will find pre-schoolers getting in fights. Again, you make arguments from lack of life experience, I am finished conversing with you.

Ah, yes, the violent fights of "Give me my toy back or I'll tell on you". I get the feeling you hate humanity with a religous passion so since we both can't convince the other....

There's something I noticed about this situation.

I've seen various news channels and talk shows discuss Bronies before, and it's usually quite negative.

They treat it like it's some sort of taboo to be a part of this fandom.

But then when a young child tried to take their own life because they're bullied for being a Brony, suddenly all Bronies are saints.

As soon as something like this happens, all these shows that previously belittled Bronies is now all "How could anyone be so cruel, they're just being themselves and doing what they love."

Does anyone see what I mean?

Why does it take a tragedy for us to be accepted?

I stumbled upon this article and I was very very disturbed. An 11 year old? ELEVEN YEAR OLD getting bullied to the point of suicide.

First question, what kind of discord do we live in to drive a child to the point of suicide?

I was bullied too (in fact I think everyone has been bullied) and my feelings reach out to that kid deeply. I'm not going to take sides from parental to the kid's psyche... but I will say this. If you have kids who love something whole heartedly, you support them because there's nothing worse than being betrayed by your own parents. I know this kid's parents supported him (but I don't know why they brought up 'gay' or 'lesbian' to associate with the term 'brony', seemed a little closed minded from that point) but even so I do love that they DO support him.

i truly hope the bullies who drove this kid to the point of suicide will understand what they have done. I hope their parents take action and sit them down, make them watch "One Bad Apple" from the show. Hopes, prayers, thoughts.. all the same. When (and I say when because I have hope) this kid recovers, I hope he'll never stop loving what he truly feels compassionate towards. We got his back. > :o

I wish I could have been there for that kid.

I think he needed a friend. Someone to accept him and back him up.

To tell him that he's great and to keep doing what he's doing.

Someone (on a different site) said that they hope he doesn't make it because "the world needs less of his kind".

Sometimes I can't believe humanity.

Every group of people on earth is hypocritical, being stunned by it is akin to being stunned by the fact that humans are inherently violent. The support for him came because of his choice in shows, via web sites dedicated to said show, and from people obsessed with said show.

People should be wanting to support him because of what he's going through, not because he's a brony. Anyone suporting him only because of his shared interest in the show can go fuck themselves.

i truly hope the bullies who drove this kid to the point of suicide will understand what they have done. I hope their parents take action and sit them down, make them watch "One Bad Apple" from the show.

Kicking their asses would be much more appropriate. Also quicker.

Things like this truly make me sad. If someone were to (heaven forbid) brutally rape and murder your hypothetical wife and unborn child, you wouldn't just shrug your shoulders and go "Eh, it's all apart of our natural tendencies towards violence in this Universe". If you say you would, you're either trying to be edgey and troll people or you need serious psychological help.

Nobody should be so desensitized to the problems of their fellow man that they are completely without empathy towards preschoolers killing each other or elementary schoolers trying to commit suicide. Only sociopaths feel this behavior is normal, and I'd suggest you turn towards your superior officers and ask for a proper psychic evaluation.

Taking that reply out of context, and not understanding what I mean by inherent violence lead me to belive that you aswell lack a significant amount of life experience, and base your opinion off of either what you have read on forums, or what your sjw college professor has rammed down your gullet. You need to go outside more often, and do more than browse /pol/ and /mlp/.

Considering I'm brand new here and don't even know what you're referencing I'd say the previous poster that accused you of posting out of ignorance yourself was dead on. For as much as you accuse people of speaking out of life experience you certainly have a habit of assuming A LOT about people you nothing about.

So good job exposing your own hypocrisy. It helps me feel a little less sad for you and know not to take anything you say seriously because you're just trolling for reactions by hitting hot button issues like saying a little kid committing suicide is a perfectly normal, average experience due to our predisposition to violence.

I reiterate, only sociopaths feel this way. And on the off chance that you are not a troll account I highly suggest you get some professional help before you harm yourself or others with your lack of basic human emotions.

On that note, welcome to my ignore list. I have no interest in being apart of a community where people like yourself like to pretend as if the lives of children, brony or not, do not matter. So it's better than I just erase you from my personal existence so that I don't have to converse with such a heartless, nihilistic individual.

@,

Oh god, tell me, if humans are so naturally violent, why aren't pre-schoolers beating the crap out of each other?

Really? Tell me of this sudden rash of pre-schoolers trying to kill each other  It might happen ocasionally, but it doesn't happen most of the time.

Have you ever been to a pre-school? Let alone around little kids?

They are constantly beating on one another. They'll even bite, scratch, and hit one another with toys constantly. Hell, they'll attack random adults in some cases.

The only reason its not often heard of outside of the school staff and parents is because its handled and the staff actually is there stopping it. They also generally don't cause much harm due to a lack of physical strength and ability (namely most toys in pre-K schools are made to be extra soft for these reasons)

Something that ceases to be after Kindergarten, where kids are expected to magically stop these actions and "grow up".

It doesn't end there either. Older people also tend to revert back to this and become somewhat, if not entirely, violent toward others and care givers.

Not all mind you, but many do. This is also not heard of because usually its handled by the caregivers.

Only time you will hear of it of course is when the care giver does swing back (major no-no in the nursing profession.. they may have swung first, but your not as likely to break)

Sorry to say I'm not sure I have money to spare...

I saw a post about this on Tumblr earlier with comments from haters still going at it. I feel so bad for this kid, he's just an innocent fan who loves a show that's a little unexpected. But the messages I've seen sent to him by bronies are so reassuring and uplifting, it's good that he has these people to help and support him and will continue to do so once his condition improves. And I hope that happens soon.

Kids these days are so spineless. And parents have no clue.  Have they no dignity? Have they no pride?  Stand the hell up and fight for yourselves. Violence may not be the answer, but it's better than no answer. Just like my dad always said "You don't have the right to throw the first punch but you do have my permission to throw the last." I got bullied in school and I got those f##kers dealt with. I wasn't afraid to speak up. And I think the teachers knew that if they didn't do something, I was going to. Has the entire world forgotten about the phrase "Sticks and stones may break your bones, but names can never hurt you"?

Sorry, but this just hits a nerve. You'd think that defending yourself would be the natural response. It's just mind boggling that it isn't.

I also just read an article about what went down, who Micheal Morones really was, and what, not only us Bronies, but members of other communities and fandoms are doing to help.

Already ordered mine. I get a cool shirt. The Morones family gets my support.

But I think this photo here really drove the point across to me.

Your natural response aligns with my own, but we also must realize that not everyone is as strong. I'm not saying I'm invincible or anyone is for that matter, but not everyone can see the distance in the long run. Not everyone has the inner strength to stand up to those who look terrifying. Everyone has their own individual perspectives, and sometimes the strong have to defend the weak. If there is no one there for that person (like for this child) then this is the destruction created. The only people who are truly at fault are the bullies, and a little bit of the victim's parents.

Like I said, I'm with you on your response... For one if I caught wind of someone bullying my child... you darn well better know it would be the parents I'd pay a visit to first because that's where all the source of the problem is stirring. I'd also tell my kid to not take any kind of BS from anyone. Lord knows I didn't.. :P

If anyone has heard the song "Same Love" by Macklemore, this reminds me of one part in particular. "Kids walk around the hallway, plagued by pain in their heart, A world so hateful some would rather die than be who they are." So sad to hear about stuff like this caused by something as simple as a TV show. The human mind is not born with hate, but it is something we develop over time. We understand it, but some people in this world need to learn to control it, or else we end up with sad stories like this one.

I have to admit, this is one of the most awful stories I've ever heard. It leaves a bad taste in my mouth, that's for sure. I just hope he's doing alright, now. I'd hate to see someone actually die over something like this.

I Now Dedicate my Speedruns in my games to Michael Morones. Currently trying to get the Assault Course record in Tomb Raider II!!!

And also, are they going to have bullying suspects to arrest in his area?

One of my friends on the Tomb Raider Forums also compared this to the shooting of Malala.
