After all of the bullshit the WWE has been pulling, I can't blame him. And it looks like the Royal Rumble was the breaking point

@Megas75,

RR 2014 was probably the most blatant example of Vince ignoring the fans ever.

P.S.,

Dear Vincent Kennedy McMahon,

Love,

The WWE "Universe"

You know, looking into this whole thing, CM Punk's rant back in 2011 is starting to sound like a legitimate than scripted

I stopped watching like 2 months ago

due to my work hours but i run into

ppl who do and tell me how its going

and the story lines and action just seemed

fluffy these days back from even like 10 years

ago sadly.  CM Punk has grounds to leave...

I don't blame him for leaving with the direction that WWE is going in right now

neither do I...Ziggler was right. The WWE picks one guy (John Cena) as the face of the company...and that's who they're sticking with. as it stands, Bryan will never win the title, never highlight Wrestlemania, and never become a top face in the company, so long as the "Let's go Cena" chants, precedes the "Cena sucks" chants.

even guys like Swagger, and Cesaro don't have a chance of ever amounting to anything in the business...long as "Super Cena" is in the company. they're better off leaving the WWE, and going to Ring of Honor or something. (I'd say TNA, but it looks like they're not fairing too well either)

@Avalionis,

GO PUNK, ZIGGLER, BRYAN, SWAGGER, CESARO, ETC.!!! DOWN WITH SUPER CENA, ORTON, HHH, ETC.!!!

and the thing is, we can chant this all we want, but the WWE will not listen. they believe we want to see Cena highlight every PPV. they believe we want to see him fight insurmountable odds, and win the title again and again and again, and again, preventing anyone else from ever stepping foot in the spotlight.

I may very well boycott WWE programing from here on out...alot of people swore they'd do this, if Bryan doesn't get the recognition he deserves, but some of those people are puppets...obedient sheep, that do as they're told. these people, despite hating seeing Cena highlight every PPV from Jan through Dec, boast about how they'll stop watching WWE programing and that they can do it anytime they want.

WWE has more or less told us to "put up, or shut up", by ensuring somehow, someway...Super Cena highlights Wrestlemania for the 7th year in a row...I'm a man of my word...but the WWE has one chance. if Bryan wins at EC then fine. If Orton or Cena wins? Forget it.

It's a shame to see CM Punk leave. He was my favorite talent on that roster. Without him, the WWE deserves to sink, but unfortunately I doubt that will happen since the casual audience will still eat up all of the John Cena skits night in and night out. I applaud Punk for doing what he did. No one else on the roster has the courage to stand up to the WWE's idiocy. One can only hope that this leads to some genuine change.

I had stopped watching WWE years ago, but I was channel surfing and happened to catch him on Smackdown before the Royal Rumble. I can't say that I will miss him, since I don't watch it anymore, but I had liked him.

I'm still keeping up with WWE on youtube, but CM Punk will totally be missed. I am still mad at how WWE is going in terms of management. Vickie Gurrero...

You see here is the thing about Punk. His 2011 Pipe Bomb promo wasn't a promo it was really him going off on a "semi allowed" rant about what's been going on for him.  After his 430 something days of being the WWE Champion they put him in such ridiculous matches that he's being mistreated over all.  This all even dates further back to when he was the World Heavy Weight Champion x2.  They never wanted to acknowledge his ability and utility.

Sadly to say this one indeed has been a long time coming, and even worse more that it's Punk leaving.  He will be missed, in the mean time what do they do?

When I first heard about this, I was surprised.  But should I have been?  :huh: I haven't regularly watched WWE for a few years now but I still keep general tabs on who's champ, the Undertaker's streak, and so on.  Wrestling in general and the WWF/WWE in particular has their ups and downs.  Right now it sounds like they're listing on a rudderless ship.  They can recover.  They have in the past.  But who is going to lead this turnaround, I have not a clue.

not sure, if this is the reason behind it or not, but Punk was scheduled to fight Triple H at Wrestlemania 30, but was also slated to lose to him too...that may've been the straw that broke the camel's back, especially when it was stated facing Triple H at WM, is as big an honor, as highlighting it, for the title, or facing Undertaker there.

now Bryan may be facing Triple H, but is also rumored to be losing the match as well...I don't know about you guys, but I don't think that'll go over with the fans at all...especially when he wasn't even involved in the Rumble match last month. :|

Yeah let's talk about said fanbase shall we?

All the fans have been chanting lately (and this is true) is either CM Punk or Daniel Bryan.  The fact people get so bull-headed in upper management about their ideas and not the peoples is what let "Cooperate America" get it's way to begin with.

IF the WWE actually let Triple H lose to Bryan or Punk at WM Fan base would be up like 20%.  Think back to the Monday Night War, how did the fanbase turn around?  They let Mick Foley (Mankind) WIN the WWF/E Belt!  Eric Bishoff (spell check!) blurted it out on a "live broadcast" and over 40% flipped channels to see Mick Foley, the most unlikely person EVER win the belt!

Nitro signed its death papers that day.  Right now with Bryan not being champion or Punk not being a "face" champion people are pissed.  Their sick of "face" Cena and "Heel" Orton.  They'd be doing better if Cena was in a suit and Triple H was a "heel" Champion again.  Orton doesn't have the power to draw people to his attitude, nither does Cena due in part to a Fit to Shan role he's being given.

Cena wouldn't "Suck" if they'd let him change his move set and ring presence a bit.  Orton was horrible for a long time coming, and they made him what he originally was but worse.  A whining 30+ loser male who thinks everything is owed to him.

I like one earlier post I saw that said "WWE died when Jeff Hardy (left or got fired dont remember which)"  I agree, there isn't enough high flying action without Jeff.  I mean hey the got Kofi Kingston, but if they had Jeff there's your new 1 hour match for the belt set in stone!  Of course they wouldn't listen to the "people"

@Avalionis,

And if they ever screw over Undertaker's streak, then I'm officially out as well.

From what I've heard, the Undertaker wants to retire with someone ending the streak. It's just a matter of who ends it and how they end it(must be a clean victory imo)
