I hate starting mid series (although I've done that with doctor who and my brain is so messed up at the moment) I figured I'd start at the beginning... I watched every episode except one... I think it was just for sidekicks... Which really threw me because I watched the episode after it which was the same episode but from the ponies POV and it was so confusing xD but I have seen it since and thus I've seen every episode xD . Envy 6,169 January 31, 2014 Share January 31, 2014 (edited) The very first episode I saw was Over a Barrel, and to be honest, it did not leave a good first impression of the show for me. Fortunately for me, the next episode was better and made me want to continue! I don't mean to be so down on it. I recently watched it for the second time several days ago. I can say that it wasn't *bad*. But my opinion of it didn't improve much. Many of the jokes just fell flat, and were, to be honest, dumb. Pinkie Pie, my favorite character, was just flat flat out annoying as well. I can see why she never got my interest from that episode alone. =( Don't get me wrong, I liked the themes of the episode, and found them very interesting. I stummbled on the first episode by mistake while searching up the older series of Firefly's Big Adventure and came up within the list of MLP FIM Season 1 Episode 1 & 2 on youtube. For awhile I avoided the show simply because I kinda had a fear that it would dissapointment like the older generation did when I tried to reignite my older nostalgie, but I took a risk and watched it. It was playing on The Hub one day while I was browsing through channels at some point before season 2 had ever started. At that point I had read all about the show and the brony fandom but had yet to actually give the show a try, so I went ahead and tuned in out of curiosity. The episode was about halfway over with though, so I don't know if that counts as a first episode. The first FULL episode I saw was Fall Weather Friends which I actually forced my older brother into watching with me so we could both see what was up with this silly brony phenomenon. Lo and behold we both had quite a few laughs from it and we both ended up really enjoying both Applejack and Rainbow Dash as characters. I of course went on to be an Applejack obsessed fangirl not long after and while my brother is not a brony even today, he does admit to liking Rainbow Dash a lot. 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

So, as a result, I believe that the first episode I ever watched was The Great and Powerful "Boast Busters". After that, I searched for first episode and began watching the series step by step... ...but I've never finished Boast Busters, since I just skimmed through it to get a grip of the show. Then, when I've reached it, I skipped to another, remembering I saw the beginning and thought I had witnessed it to full extent.
