If you have teams from old games, you can always transfer old teams up.

Yeah my best team was a Typholsion, Sceptile, Feraligatr, Venasaur, Blazekin, and Staraptor, all way overleveled to make Red and Elite 4 really easy to beat XD I don't really count that as a legitimate team though. And I'm not super confident in any of my other teams, so I'm making a new one from scratch xD Currently training to beat elite four on Emerald so I can get a bedlum for a metagross ^^

Update: The Ice and Fighting Type Gyms are available for challenge. The Water Gym should be open tomorrow, if not later today. The banlist is essentially Smogon's Uber list, minus those that aren't technically legendaries.

Alrighty. So our first challenger was Twiliscael, who battled for the honour of possession of the Candle badge. The pokemon used representing the Candle badge were Ninetails, Typhlosion, Charizard (Who Mega evolved into Mega Charizard X), and Chandelure. The challenger used a Greninja, Aegislash, Ampharos (Who Mega evolved into Mega Ampharos), and Barbaracle.

 

The challenger was not successful in defeating the leader, and did not obtain the Candle badge. He may try again at a later date, and is allowed to change his team.

After a difficult effort waged against the Gym's Primeape, Heracross, Breloom, and Gallade with his Barbacle, Ampharos, Greninja, and Aegislash, many tears, and lots of poor judgement, Twiliscael has earned the right to say he has utterly trounced my gyms in every way possible. xD

Next on Twiliscael's challenging spree was the Fairy Gym for the Navi badge. The leader used Azumarill, Togekiss, Whimsicott, and Mawile (Which evolved into Mega Mawile). The challenger used a Greninja, Aegislash, Ampharos, and Barbaracle.

 

The challenger was not successful in defeating the leader, and did not obtain the Navi badge. He may try again at a later date.

Alrighty. Just let any of the leaders know in a PM. Also, make sure you pick a team that isn't just suited to one leader, as you'll have to be using them for the entire challenge.

Actually, that's EXACTLY what that's supposed to be referencing.

 

I'm busying myself with the training of a Flying Type Team. Either the Fist Badge or the Ore Badge will migrate up to become the Fist or Ore Symbol of the Elite Four once it's completed, so one of these gyms has limited time.

 

There are also Gym Leaders-in-Training preparing Grass and Psychic Teams. Keep this in mind when challenging. If you earn a Badge, and the gym you earned a Badge for is promoted to the Elite Four, you do not lose the badge in question, but are encouraged to challenge its successor. By this means, theoretically you could earn twelve badges if you felt like it.

Like Bolty said, just notify the Gym Leader you wish to challenge, and you and the leader will work out a time to battle. Make sure you note the rules for the Challenger. You have to use the team you used for a first victory again when you challenge a second gym.

Okay! The instructions for challenging are inthe first post, but in case you missed the memo, you should message the Leader you intend to challenge. Send them your FC and your in-game name, as well as which of their gyms you intend to challenge. Lhee and I are both available at the moment. Firebolt is as well, but she's fighting a challenger at the moment, I think.

Photon Jet challenged the fire type gym, for the Candle badge. The leader used Torkoal, Magmortar, Charizard (Who Mega evolved into Mega Charizard X), and Chandelure. The challenger used a Tyranitar, Gardevoir, Quagsire, and Noivern.

 

The challenger managed to defeat the gym and earn the Candle badge. He'll receive it once I've bred it.

The challenger Mikami managed to defeat the Auroura gym with a combination of Heracross, Swampert, Flygon, and Espeon in a very close match.  The gym's Glaceon, Abomasnow, Weavile, and Aurourus put up a good fight, and it was a fun match.
