The scariest story I ever read is as follows, I'd rate it a 100/10 on the scale of scariness;

I was sitting alone at my computer chair when my brother suddenly sent me a text.

"We're running out of time, we need it now, or else it's all for nothing," that's all he sent me.

I stood up,grabbed my keys and ran to my car. I drove away to the center that held what we needed. I got out of my car and walked up to the advanced automatically opening doors and rushed myself inside. There was a guard stationed at the door who welcomed me inside. I grabbed a container I would use to transfer the supply we needed, and rolled it across the ground. The floor was white, it almost seemed like a medical facility.

The employees busied themselves around me. Their deceptively simple uniform hid the very important duty they had to attend to.

The corridors were long, winding, and made of shelves upon shelves. I felt alone there, but using the signs I found my way to the area I needed to be in. But what I saw there stopped me dead in my tracks.

My hands were sweaty, the deceivingly brightly lit corridor in front of me was no longer a place of comfort and hope, but of dread and horror. For what I had realized had forever changed me. It was too late, I could never complete my brother's wishes now.

I had failed.

Walmart was out of grape soda.

I once read an article which said that 85% of the world's largest spiders are crawling slowly up the back of your neck at this very moment.

That's actually good news, because it means that spiders do not exist at all. Considering that there are zero crawling up my neck, since I lack a neck.
