There is a grey spot

      So, lately I have noticed something in the fandom and particularly on this site. A ton of bronies are wayyyyy overusing the term anti-brony. A lot of us are treating the situation as if it is black and white, to get back to the title, there is a grey spot. The term anti-brony should be used for people who want to get rid of bronies, or intentionally go out of there way to do something negative to a brony. But, I have seen this term used for just about EVERYONE who isn't a brony. This just doesn't seem right. If someone doesn't like the show, that doesn't make them "anti-brony", that makes them a person with a different opinion and you should respect that. Now, if a person is mean to bronies for that particular reason, then yeah, they are an anti-brony. So my question is what do you guys and girls think? Should it be more of a general term, or should it be pointed at the people who really deserve it?

Well, I used to clump all people who were against the show and hated it + people who wanted to rid bronies as one group of "anti-bronies". But now, I kinda changed that since I read what you said. Haters are those who hate the show. Anti-bronies are those who hate the show AND want bronies gone for good.

It shouldn't be nearly as general as it is now. A lot of people have tried the show, don't like it, and just quietly disapprove of brony activity. I don't think that would equal an anti-brony. An anti-brony would mean a more aggressive stance that would usually be a person going out of their way to bother or put down a brony.

I use "anti-brony" to describe those who oppose bronies.  Everyone else is non-brony in my mind.  The "hater" concept does not exist in my life: either you are indifferent to bronies, you hate bronies, or you are a brony.  I am not familiar with anyone who opposes MLP but not the bronies.

Anti bronies are haters. Bronies are lovers. Normal people are people that don't know about either side. And neutral people are people that do know about both sides and both support and don't support both and either

I think the word ''anti-brony'' means a hater of the show, and they hate everything about the show including the community.

I always use the term for haters. For someone who doesn't like/care about the show, but doesn't hate us, I call them non-bronies, non-haters, or neutrals.
