About the mental health of my family and their mystical delirium. And how often I used to entertain their notions.
There is a lot of mental illness in this family. Most common disorders. With people going off the rails, crashing, causing a lot damage to others, and then blaming it on the "demons".

What many people do not understand, is that our human body has its own electrochemical system. But when you add trauma to that system, that electrochemical system becomes a drug factory that bombards the individual, creating much mental and emotional instability. Which causes other health-related issues at the same time.
And this is the reality with my family, as well myself. But in their case, they are high-functioning sociopaths, which makes for a very dangerous, abussive and compulsive personality. A trauma based personality. They are mentally ill, but can prosper because the social environment has elements of mental illness as well. So, when it comes to abuse and steal from others, these "corrupt" representatives of the system will see this cooperation as something reasonable, especially when there is money involved. Another problem is that sociopoaths are attracted to power.

There is cruelty in their actions. So much you could call them "evil", because there is actual malice in their intention. And they derive pleasure from hurting others. But then I realize that much of their "wickedness", as the bible would put it, is just trauma. They are damaged.

I realize the perpetrator is also a victim. Nothing excuses what they have done. But still. What a messed up place.
