I remember ponies would cry about the Sega Game Gear and how the batteries would only last 4-5 hours. It was hard to acquire that many batteries back in the day, lol. But when it came to playing Sonic, if there was no outlets or usable batteries to be found, look out - I was scramblin'.

I honestly think you'll like Sonic Heroes, it's kinda 50/50 among the fandom, but I think it's a pretty decent game. The music is awesome too!

I'm hoping it'll be as good as I remember it. It was one of my favorite games as a kid, but I lost my copy some time ago.

I've been meaning to  give this song a re-listen to. I heard it was one of the best songs Sonic has had in a while.

I wonder what happened to that ring he received from Chip at the end of Sonic Unleashed.

They haven't shown it since, I don't if he keeps it in his house somewhere, or just got rid of it.

To be frank, they built Sonic's and Chip's relationship throughout Sonic Unleashed, so it doesn't make sense for them to completely forget about it the next game.

I was unable to find the piece, but there was a fan art picture I seen a while back of Sonic's "room", full of every memorable thing he's collected in games. Such as the lamp from Sonic and the Secret Rings, Chip's ring, Shadow's inhibitor ring, and so on. It's really cool, wish I could find it.

The Sonic games carry very little continuity, it is rare for games that are not sequels (Like Sonic Rush and Sonic Rush Adventur) to refer to each other.

The series hasn't been known to keep their continuity straight as well. For example, in Adventure 2, the moon was blown in half. In Shadow, the moon is somehow back. 

Also, horrible retcons like the Gerald Robotnik thing on why he created the arc and why he set it to blow Earth up or something.

I hated that game so much (Shadow, not Adventure 2).

Actually there's an explanation for that. In every Sonic game after SA2 we are simply looking at the side of the moon that is not blown up.

I'm not really a Sonic fan but I'll post here anyway.

 

Sonic 2 was one of my first games ever. I have fond memories of playing it on my brother's old genesis when I was really young.

Sonic The Hedgehog (The Original) and Sonic the Hedgehog 2 are frickin' awesome. 

 

I also had Sonic 3 and Knuckles. Fun as hell that was.

After the crossover, they nuked the plot and started over in a new timeline, Sally is no longer roboticized.
