I'm getting a Wii-U soon, which means I will have the necessary consoles for both versions of Sonic Boom. Squeeing will be had.

 

I'll also finally get to try Lost World. I'm behind on Sonic games. The latest one I have is Generations.

 

I still think they should have made a Generations 2 or put out DLC for other levels but they've obviously moved on. :okiedokielokie:

While I'm not going to directly advise you not getting the game, I do have to say there are random difficulty spikes in the game, which can lead to frustration. There's a particular level that actually made me rage quit the game, which isn't something I've done in Sonic for..years. Also, I do agree there should have been some DLC for Generations in North America. Actually, Japan received some DLC for the game, I believe it was Casino Night Zone.

Unless you mean a legit Casino Night Zone we also got that and it was just pinball or something. I think I got that as a preorder bonus but never played it cuz it wasn't Casino Night Zone itself.

Well, I have too, bro. It's quite the challenge, be prepared and never give up. Do keep in mind, however, that this was all achieved before SEGA made the "patch" for easier lives. When I played it, you didn't get an extra life after getting 100 rings, and continues only gave you 5. It was rough, Lost World was the first Sonic game I received a "Game Over", I believe.

A trailer for both games is now out. Sonic is bringing smexy back.

 

If I remember right they're saying the 3DS game takes place before the Wii-U game right? So I should play that first? Or is it more of a prequel scenario where you wanna play the main game then the other which will reference things that will happen in the main game?

 

Also, does anyone know if they plan to release the show on DVD or stream it online or something? If not, I don't really have a way to see it. I have no cable whatsoever and never will.

Howso? I don't usually know stuff until the places I'm following bring it to my attention. I need to follow a Sonic-specific website but I always forget the places people recommend to me. Preferably a place with an RSS feed cuz I don't like having to follow news through bookmarks.

The trailer was premiered at Sonic Boom 2014. Which means everyone who was there (Including me) were the first eyes outside of SEGA to see the trailer, and IGN was NOT there.

That would be why I don't recognize it. I barely played any multiplayer in the early Sonic games. The only multiplayer ones I've played to any extent are Sonic & Sega All Stars Racing and Sonic Adventure 2: Battle.

 

But hell yeah I'm excited for the new cartoon. I just don't know how excited to be exactly considering we're gonna get most of the foundation in the games...which won't come out until November.

This is probably my favorite version of Eggman but I prefer the comics version overall, though I like the comics in general more than most of the other entertainment mediums in the franchise. Jim Cummings was the perfect voice to use for him. I don't much care for Mike Pollock. His voice is too goofy for Eggman. Granted the Eggman we know now is more comedy than anything anyway so I guess it also fits but I like my Eggman to sound like an actual threat like with Jim Cummings.

I grew up with this guy as my Doctor Robotnik, sure I saw him in the games but this took it to a whole new level. As a kid I was scared of this guy just because of how evil he was and I love this darker take on his character, not only that but I love his design above all the others as I think this fits more into the intimidating villain I see him as. The other versions of Robotnik I dont really like (excluding the comics which I do enjoy) because they where all kind stupid, and looking at Sonic Boom it looks like we'll get another silly Robotnik but Im willing to give him a chance.

I actually really liked Eggman in Sonic 06 when they made him more realistic. The way he looked and the way he acted were much more villainous.

 

What made the SatAM/Comic Robotnik's design even more fitting was that in the comics he fully supported gorging oneself and making pollution. He represented everything wrong with capitalist society, irredeemably so. His fat wasn't just a goofy character design, it was a part of what made him who he was.

Favourite sonic game? If you're talking 2d then I'd have to pick sonic 3 and knuckles, if you're talking 3d then I guess it would have to be a tie between sonic adventure 2 and sonic generations. What got me into it? Well simply put when you grow up around a sister who loves these games you're bound to show an interest. On a side note I actually remember being first introduced to the concept of video games, I remember it was at someones house(might have been my sisters friends or my old house)and I saw city escape and I remember thinking to myself "wow that looks really cool how does it work" then I remember looking down at the gamecube controller and noticing how the analog movements caused sonic to move in game. And I don't know what it is I've just always found Tails interesting.
