Wow, these are amazing I love how you and your family are so creative. What you guys make is amazing, and I hope you keep making stuff together.

Thanks!! I think 95% of this is all from one sister (all the cakes and cupcakes, and the dinner stuff). She really gets into it and is very talented! My dad is the party-thrower and Mr. Build It. He loves the challenge of taking a party idea and making it come to life simply to see the reactions from the invitees!

 

I grew up with six sisters who baked all the time--it was AWESOME! And now that one of them is constantly making cakes and other creative tasty treats, it's a wonder we're all still skinny!!

 

My involvement is usually eating the foods and treats they create, or assisting my dad in his labors over the bigger projects. Most of the time, I'm just along for the ride and the food! haha Maybe if I ever finish painting my paintball equipment, I'll post that. My talent lies mostly in athletics! Though I do enjoy architectural design and seem to have a knack for room/spatial organization...that's not as share-able as pictures of tasty foods though! haha

Golfer cake for her husband on Father's Day last year

Octopus/Halloween cake for a Halloween party last year. The hollow green bubbles were made from Jell-O and the arms were rice krispie treats molded around wire. The cauldron sitting on top held dry ice to make it fog.

Well I don't have pictures of those I've made with my mom but you use those smaller bananes, smash them so they're flat, sprinkle whatever topping of choice (nuts and dried coconut fits very well), pack them, put them into your freezer until firm and finit! That's how they sell or do them in Vietnam.

Like, plantains? I've never tried them. Just our boring American bananas. haha I've heard they're really good though.

My younger sister has always been fascinated by tattoos, but will never get one; so one of our older sisters let her color a Sharpie sleeve onto her arm. It took a lot of Sharpies, and most of the day.

Man, it's been forever since I posted anything in here! Well, my super-creative sister got busy with her kids so she took a sort of siesta from fancy cake-making, but she just made a simplistic Disney/Mickey Mouse one the other day for a friend.

Not sure if that's on the horizon...haha. My guess is my sister will be making something on the theme of Valentine's day this weekend, so I'll see what she comes up with.

 

Not a bad idea though! Looks like some people have done that already!
