Which 2 ponies of the Mane 6 would you like to see hang out more?

I would have to say Applejack and Fluttershy for various reasons.

Applejack is a background pony. I hope a certain somepony doesn't read this.

I know they were the main focus in the Bats episode, however it should be some time just between these two, like Fluttershy helping on the farm growing Apples for her beloved animal friends.

Like I've said before, Rainbow Dash and Rarity are long overdue for an episode together. And I'm not only saying that because they're my top favorites

Rarity and Twilight would be interesting now that Twilight is a princess. I could see Rarity obsessing over it and wanting to teach Twilight how to act refined.

 

And I always want more Twilight and Pinkie Pie. Those two are like the perfect comedy duo. They fit into the traditional roles of the smart one who gets irriated easy and the dumb one who's oblivious, but can switch where Twilight can end up going insane and Pinkie needing to step up and be the level headed one. I like to think they're both crazy, just on different wavelengths.

Although I'm not a fan of Rainbow Dash, I think Rarity and Rainbow Dash should go together. We've never seen them having an episode starring both of them besides Sonic Rainboom, which made Rarity look like a jerk. It's kind of to the point where we have forgotten they are friends

Lots have people have already called it (like Ghostie), but I'm going to say it again. Rainbow Dash and Rarity don't interact with each other nearly as much as any other combination, and it would be interesting to throw them into a situation together and see how they do.

But back to the topic.

I don't know xD'' I mean, I tried to write in this topic before, but everytime I ended up writing about so many characters and relationships... It's hard to choose, because I love all of these relations and they're one of the reasons, why I watch this show.

 

• Rarity x Rainbow Dash (it's rather obvious, because they almost not interact with each other in the show and it's a shame, because their dreams are kinda similiar and they both care about their physical appearance, so it wouldn't be so hard to write something about them)

 

• Applejack x Twilight (Applejack is like second leader of Main 6 and she and Twilight have very strong bond, which I always admired. It'd be interesting to see a conflict between them or just an episode in which they spend some time together)

 

• Fluttershy x Pinkie (People say that AJ and Rarity are polar opposites, but they at least HAVE something in common, while Fluttershy and Pinkie's personalities couldn't be more different)

 

• Applejack x Rainbow Dash (I know... Fall Weather Friends. But it was at the beginning of season 1 and I'm sure that their relationship changed and become more mature - just like AJ's relationship with Rarity, which was clearly showed in Simple Ways. Besides, just like with Twilight, AJ's bond with Rainbow is very strong. They can understand each other and in my opinion their friendship is really unique)

Ah, this topic. Before season 4 started, there were two friendships that I wanted to see explored some more: Applejack and Fluttershy and Twilight Sparkle and Rainbow Dash. Thanks to outstanding episodes like Bats! and Testing, Testing, 1, 2, 3, I can cross those pairings off of my list. (Well, at least in terms of priority. More episodes involving these friendships in the future would still be most welcome.)

 

So my top choices involving each of the Mane Six would now have to be:

 

1. Twilight Sparkle and Applejack. AJ being my favorite pony and all, I always love to watch her interact with her friends. In just season 4 alone, she has shared episodes with Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, and Rarity, and she has shared an episode with Rainbow Dash back in season 1, so it seems that Twilight Sparkle is the only one that she hasn't co-starred with as of yet. Twilight and AJ are the two most qualified leader ponies and they're both very mature and sensible for the most part; often confiding in each other for support or advice. An episode that explores the strengths and weaknesses of each in comparison to the other would be ideal for me.

 

2. Rainbow Dash and Rarity. Sure, Sonic Rainboom had *some* Rarity focus, but it was largely centered around Rainbow Dash, and there really wasn't an awful lot of actual interaction between the two ponies. Dash and Rarity have a lot more similarities than they seem to on the surface. They both love being the center of attention and are quite confident and comfortable with themselves overall, despite a few insecurities. Dash might have more masculine traits and Rarity more feminine, but they both possess elements that deal with self-sacrifice perhaps more than the other elements do. I'm sure there's a heap of potential for a good conflict between the two.

 

3. Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy. Simply put, I can't think of a single episode where these two really did a whole lot together. I think it's time to give Andrea Libman a vocal workout and have her carry an episode devoted to her two lovable ponies. I'm sure it'd be a lot of fun.

Though they were already done, I'd like to see more of Rainbow Dash with Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash with Applejack. These pairings can definitely carry an episode together with their dynamics.

 

I like the idea of putting Dash with Rarity but only if done with one of the original writers. One trend I noticed this season is that the new writers tend to cram too much comedy into each episode which leads to one or more characters (usually not the focus character of the episode) being Flanderized. This has even happened in episodes focusing on multiple characters, like in "Somepony to Watch Over Me", where Applejack, who arguably had nearly as much focus as Apple Bloom, had the overprotectiveness of her personality played Up To Eleven just to get some jokes out of it, when it really could have been taken a bit more seriously.

 

Above all, this isn't even number one priority for me, I would need to see more Scootaloo before we get to this. It's likely that throwing the Crusaders into the mix could help things a bit more.

When you have 36 possible match ups, it's inevitable that some haven't been expounded upon very well. For the moment I'm going to focus on Fluttershy. I'd like to see more of her with:

 

-Twilight Sparkle. During moments of crisis, she has an ability to help Fluttershy reach down and find the courage to act in a way nopony else can. This was shown in Return to Harmony Part 2 and Hurricane Fluttershy. It would be nice to see this angle visited at least one more time.

 

-Applejack. So far, Bats! Is the only episode that has these two as focus characters. I'd like to see a little more going on between two of my favorite ponies!

 

-Pinkie Pie. Having the shiest character interact with the most outgoing one is a regular TV trope. After four seasons I'm surprised there's no true Pinkie and Flutters episode to speak of.
