Do you want to go to conventions but can't?

This has probably already been a topic. But would you go to various brony conventions if you could?

Me personally cant really attend any conventions at the moment due to living in Norway and the costs for flying over to the US where the major conventions are, is a bit too high.

More and more conventions are in Europe, however money is still a problem since im 18 and dont really have a job at the moment.

I Would REALLY like to go to a brony convention... it gets kinda lonely being the only brony in my town, and meeting other bronies in person would be awesome.

Hopefully the conventions are still around when I have a job and can afford it.

I live in Australia and the only brony convention we have in on the other side of the country, and this year took place two days before the start of the school year, so there was no bloody way I would be able to make the thing.
But I love going to cons, I try to make it to comic con and supernova since those are the only ones that come round, but the tickets and everything a just a tad bit expensive, and the merch that's sold is always more expensive then what you can get at the store or online.

Ha, at least you get comic cons and such Rascal, oh yeah it is a definite of me moving to Perth, my friend's just waiting for Cenrelink to get off their asses and give him a raise on his youth allowance and then for him and another friend to get a house then I'll be moving in

@,
We only have two, and they're stationed in the same place every year, though the one thing that bugs me is the prices on merch.

I know that in America, the prices are way too damn high for tickets, so I'm fine with our prices, if the most you pay is about 60 dollars then I'm fine with that. But the merch you can get are way too overpriced. Like, I bought a leather bound book at comic con, and it was 50 dollars more than what I could have gotten online, which was a real shame for me because I could have used that money for something else.

I was just in Queensland actually, on a holiday at daydream island near brisbane, in the witsunday islands. And I'm moving myself in about 11 years, can't wait to see you around when you move here though.

Merch at ANY convention is going to expensive, Brickvention, ComicCon, er.. the anime one, Ponycon/Sydneigh, any convention, merchandise will be expensive, Ponycon how-ever isn't too bad, especially if you personally know a few of the vendors, like I do, though I don't ask for discounts cos that's just rude and selfish and yeah will be cool

If there was a con in my country that wasn't on the other side of it, I'd go for sure. But it's not really necessary. Any merch I want I can get online or make myself, and the panels and stuff are often recorded so .. it's not like I'm missing out on anything essential. Cons are mostly about the friends and socializing, and the whole affair of just going to a con but I can do that here with any other con so, I'm not that upset about it.

I live in a small town in Norway on the border to Sweeden.

The closest convention I know about is in Finland and it may be one in Sweeden.

I doubt I will be able to go to one in a good while, if ever.

My state is having it's first Pony convention in a month or two, and luckily I get to go.

However, I can't go to all the conventions I wanted to this year. I couldn't make it to Anime Detour this year, unfortunately.

I want to go to BronyCan this summer, but it is a little beyond my reach. It is only about a 9 or so hour drive, but I am without transport, and getting the time off work would be unlikely. I know a couple people connected to a local brony network, so I may be able to set something up, but it is unlikely. :(

I would LOVE to go to at least one convention, but I've got many issues to work out first:

1. I can't ask for money. It is a personal problem, but even though I'm a teenager, I feel bad when asking for money. It makes me feel like a burden.

2. I can't ask for a ride to anywhere. See reason for number one.

3. I live nowhere near ANY conventions. It seems like brony conventions are nowhere near Missouri.

4. I am in school. I would have planed to go to MWBF, (Mid-West Bronyfest) but due to school and snow days and EOC testing, I can no longer go.

I would love to go to a convention, yet i can't go b/c:

A. I don't have the money, even though im working.......fee is pretty expensive

B. I rather go with someone.........specifically a girl my age (don't want to feel odd gong by myself)

C. I'd probably be the first convention goer who would not cosplay, yet, I would probably wear a Wonderbolts shirt or Jacket (IF I CAN FIND ONE, *cries*)

*clears throat*

Sorry bout that, but yeah......pretty much those three above states the reason why.
