Personal Pony Preferences

-Lyra Heartstrings-

These are my personal pony preferences files.

Feel free to disagree.

No hate.

1. Rainbow dash is overrated. She is too stuck up for my taste. But, she has a cool character.

2. Season four is NOT the best season. I could not choose one, but it wouldn't be season four.

3. Twilight is worst princess. I love Twily, but she doesn't need to be a princess.

4. I enjoy clopping, but don't clop myself.

5. Rarity is my spirit animal.....

6. Sometimes, I like the villains more then the ponies...(?)

1. I like the villains, but try to make them a little more interesting.

2. My favorite season would still be Season Four

3. Rarity is climbing up the ranks to get to be my favorite pony.

4. Spike is a good character, but needs to be fleshed out some more.

I like rainbow dash because of her colors lol. I don't like twilight because she's a know it all, fluttershy needs to stop being a wuss, applejack is fine, no complaint. Pinkie needs to be less annoying and rarity is stuck up. My fav villian is discord. Fav season is season 3 ONLY because of the very last episode, magical mystery cute. And MLP NEEDS to give cutie mark crusaders their cutie marks. I haven't seen season 4. I don't have hub yet so I watch all episodes on netflix

4. I enjoy clopping, but don't clop myself.

So you appreciate the art without getting off to it?

A few of mine:

1. Ponies are a race are inherently less mature than humans, which is why the incredibly obvious lessons they're learning are being made when they're already essentially young adults. On the other hand, their society is much more peaceful than ours, so they can afford to be pseudo emotionally immature for longer than we humans can be.

2. Twilight is right now the most composed of the Mane Six, as a Princess. AJ is in a close second. Rainbow Dash and Pinkie are the least put together as ponies (and IMO the youngest) and Flutters and Rarity are somewhere in the middle.

3. Spike and the CMC get more of a benefit of a doubt from me, because they actually are young.

5. Rarity is my spirit animal.....

Yeahh, well, she's my waifu :D

#getrekt

- I have no clue whether or not I'd have any interest in the show or not if Rarity wasn't in it. If I did, it wouldn't be near to the level that it is, that much I'm sure of :D

- RD and Pinkie are two of the most overrated characters ever, but still likeable.

- The obsession with Vinyl Scratch is my second least favorite thing about the whole fandom, behind Rarity hate. (Which, might I add, the latter is at such a level that it evokes a sense of sadism out of me.)

- Spike is underrated. Sure, he's the most boring character that can be considered a major character, but he still deserves more than 12 fans in the whole fandom. (I'm taking a best guess with the numbers.)

- Applejack is my second best pony because she plays off of Rarity so well. Her relationship with Rarity allowed me to get more into her character :D

- Colgate is best background pony because she gets a fair amount of attention when compared to others, plus she has a cute character design :D

Last, but not least:

rarity is stuck up

I think you should give a little bit better of an explanation as to why you feel she's stuck up past saying she's stuck up, pardner ;)

She just seems stuck up. Like in all the episodes she acts snobby and stuck up like no one matters but here. One example is the grand gala pig gala the ponies were fighting over the ticket. Rarity goes on saying how she would go to meet her true love and makes it all about her saying "how could you twilight not invite me to meet my true love" turns around and pouts. She's my least favorite because of her attitude and se doesn't seem like a friend unless she gets something out of it.

How about the episode where she makes everypony gorgeous dresses? They criticized her work, and she remade them all to be the hideous clothing choices the mane six wanted. She was very generous in this one, and went against what she believed in (making fashionable clothes) for the sake of her friendships.

I can give you list of everything generous she's done in the series that goes against what you just said, but, quite frankly, I don't feel like pulling it up. Not worth the time. So I'll leave whether I post it here or not up to you.

One example is the grand gala pig gala the ponies were fighting over the ticket. Rarity goes on saying how she would go to meet her true love and makes it all about her saying "how could you twilight not invite me to meet my true love" turns around and pouts.

Weren't they all fighting over that ticket, though? Rarity felt Blueblood was her true love. (Thank god he wasn't, but still.)

True love is just as important as a career (Rainbow Dash and the Wonderbolts/Twilight discussing magic with Celestia) and family (Applejack selling her baked goods for money to help the family survive) and enjoying life (Pinkie with her partying/Fluttershy with her animals)

It's evolution, baby; me and you both wouldn't be here if two people didn't feel love for at least a few moments in time. Love is what makes the world go 'round quite literally. If you say love isn't important, than you're saying human life isn't important.

She's my least favorite because of her attitude and se doesn't seem like a friend unless she gets something out of it.

Again, I have that list ready to fire.

I can't help but feel you're writing her off here, which is somewhat hindering your enjoyment of the show by not allowing yourself to have the full experience. Hating these ponies does nothing but make the show less enjoyable, of course, unless you enjoy hating them; but wouldn't that put you on the same level as the anti-bronies, enjoying feeling hatred based off of face value? I assure you she's nothing like you're saying, and I don't think you understand her character very well, if you want me to be blunt.

Just sit back and pay attention to what it is that she actually does :D You might enjoy what you see ;)

That's because it's an episode about her so of course it going to make her look good. In the beginning she fought fluttershy to tell we what she thought even though she told rarity she doesn't wat to and she pushed her too and yelled. One episode doesn't make her a good pony/friend. Of u watch all the episodes you can see how she is.

Lol I'm pretty good at reading peope and a cartoon is no problem. I enjoy the show but I don't have to like every character to like the show also.

No you're misinterpreting what I'm saying. Ofc love is important but how she acted about it was snobby. How was twilight suppose to know how she felt and wanted at the gala? She didn't and rarity still put her nose in the sky to her expecting ergo read her mind and automatically invite he and gave he a mean response.

That's because it's an episode about her so of course it going to make her look good.

"Simple Ways" didn't make Rarity look good.

Nor did "Putting Your Hoof Down" make Fluttershy look good or did "Mysterious Mare Do Well" make RD look good.

Just because it's an episode about them doesn't automatically mean it makes them look good.

In the beginning she fought fluttershy to tell we what she thought even though she told rarity she doesn't wat to and she pushed her too and yelled.

1. She didn't lay a hoof on her. You should know as much, claiming you've seen the episode.

2. The yelling wasn't meant in a malicious way, and, again, you should know as much given you're "good at reading people."

3. She was wanting critique in order to make the perfect dress for Fluttershy. Something that'd make Fluttershy happy. Are you going to fault her for trying to do what her friend wants?

One episode doesn't make her a good pony/friend.

Mmhmm.

Rarity is Generous:

 S01E01: Friendship is Magic

Gives Twilight a free makeover after Rainbow Dash messed up her mane.

S01E02: Friendship Is Magic

Cuts off her tail to give a monster or something the missing half of his mustache.

S01E11: Winter Wrap Up

After Twilight did a horrible job making a nest, she spent all of her time trying to fix her friend's mistake, putting her horribly behind quota.

S01E14: Suited For Success

Made all of her friends dresses for the gala free of charge, and they kept complaining about how they looked and how they wanted them to look, which made her dresses look horrible in front of some huge name in the fashion business.

S01E16: Sonic Rainboom

When Twilight wanted to try out a new spell that she had never done before and warned it could have possible side effects if botched, Rarity readily subjects herself to the spell, so she can go cheer on Rainbow Dash at her flying competition.

S01E20: Green isn't Your Color

Keeps quiet about her jealousy of Fluttershy's newfound fame in the fashion business, something she had been trying to accomplish before the show even started. After Fluttershy stumbles and trips on the runway and the crowd turns against her, Rarity begins cheering to save her friend, despite feeling it should've been her making it big instead of Fluttershy.

S01E25: A Party of One

Purposely ruins her mane, which she's extremely proud of, in order to keep Pinkie's surprise party a secret.

S02E05: Sisterhooves Social

After making a mistake in the way she took care of her sister, she hid IN MUD in order to complete a race with her sister for forgiveness, when all and all, it was just siblings fighting over trivial matters, like EVERY siblings do.

S02E08: Mysterious Mare Do Well

Makes 4 costumes for her friends to wear in their mission of bringing a borderlining on narcissism Rainbow Dash back down to earth.

S02E09: Sweet & Elite

When it came down to it, she chose her unsophisticated Ponyville friends over the Canterlot Ponies, who she had dreamt of fitting in with.

S02E10: Secret of My Excess

Spares the feelings of a horny baby dragon who stole half of the city and kidnapped her, even going as far to kiss him on the cheek.

S02E14: The Last Roundup

Rides a damn whatever you call that thing all the way back to Ponyville with an extremely repetitive Pinkie Pie due to Rainbow Dash's negligence.

S02E19: Putting Your Hoof Down

Tries helping Fluttershy learn how to stand up for herself, and welcomes Fluttershy back after she attacks her dreams.

S02E21: Dragon Quest

Attempts to stand up for Spike when the other 5 laugh at his apron. Creates a huge costume so RD, Twilight and herself could follow him to make sure he was alright. Stands directly behind Rainbow Dash's flank the entire time they're hiding, without complaining. Prepares to fight dragons in yet another attempt to stand up for Spike.

S02E25: A Canterlot Wedding

Makes a ton a fricken' dresses for the wedding, free of charge.

S03E01: The Crystal Empire

In order to buy time for Twilight, makes a bunch of hats and shit out of hay and straws. Does a very good job at it, I might add.

S03E12: Games Ponies Play

Takes the extremely difficult job of preparing Cadence's mane in the intricate detail it had to be done in, with only 15 minutes of time left. Also does a good job.

(Note: Rarity got screwed in Season 3. I assure you Season 4 will be different.)

Equestria Girls:

Makes dressed for them to all wear to the dance free of charge. Helps clean up the gym so Twilight could when the crown that night, despite hating messes. After Sunset Playdough-Hair ruins Twilight's reputation, tries helping Twilight go incognito until it can be fixed. Share her idea and Wondercolt's costume with the rest to change Twilight's horrid reputation.

From Vocabulary.com:

Generosity is a quality that's a lot like unselfishness — someone showing generosity is happy to give to or share time, money, food, or whatever with others.

Generosity is a quality — like honesty and patience — that we all probably wish we had more of. When you show generosity, you might give away things or money or put others before yourself. But generosity is about more than cash and stuff. When you're forgiving and gentle to people, you show generosity of spirit. If you give others help or credit, that shows generosity. The world would certainly be a better place if more people showed generosity to others.

That's a lot of good deeds. If you expect the ponies to represent their elements every episode, and if you dislike them for not doing so, you should really only be a Twilight and a Pinkie fan, in my opinion.

Keep in mind that I haven't added season 4 in there yet. That's a whole season that's missing from this list.

Lol I'm pretty good at reading peope and a cartoon is no problem.

So, you're assuming that you're 100% correct about Rarity?

Explain to me why that list I just shared above with you can possibly exist, then.

I enjoy the show but I don't have to like every character to like the show also.

Oh ho ho. You can still like the show and dislike a character. I never said that.

I said you're not getting the full experience by writing a character off and taking everything she does out of context.

Explain this to me; the target market was originally little girls. Why would they one of the main characters that these little girls are going to model themselves after as bad as you're making her out to be?

No you're misinterpreting what I'm saying. Ofc love is important but how she acted about it was snobby. How was twilight suppose to know how she felt and wanted at the gala? She didn't and rarity still put her nose in the sky to her expecting ergo read her mind and automatically invite he and gave he a mean response.

So...how was Twilight supposed to know that about any of her 5 friends? They all acted exactly like Rarity did, and gave a different reason to take that particular friend instead.

They all acted like that in that episode. And, of course, in the end, they rectified their mistakes and went as far to decline the ticket offer until Celestia sent one for each of them.

I can't stand the Cutie Mark Crusaders episodes. I would love if the writers replace them with Celestia-Luna based eps.

Also I don't get the Derpy love.

I didn't like Maud Pie.

My favorite season is the first, of course.

Fluttershy needs to be treated with more charm, in my opinion, so I don't like episodes like "put your hoof down", "power ponies" and "bats".

Also, I don't like Applejack episodes that are focused on her family (almost all).
