I would like to see some statistics on the amount of pornographic fan art, compared to the non-pornographic works. Would be interesting to see just how close the numbers come.

A daunting task indeed...interesting, too.

As I've already said, I've been there, I had my student loan to pay, and I was in very short supply with money. There were people offering me help in paying it (for something else in return), but I didn't agree to that. So please don't tell me what I would do in some situation when you're not me, thank you very much. The fact that you would love whoever would pay your debts, doesn't mean yet that everyone would behave the same way.

Same goes with you, so please don't blame all the fault at me. This is unfair and... well... kind of rude :P

Assumeing I would personally do it seems like you are projecting a preconception about me onto it. Which is also quite rude. Kind off odd how you tend to do the exact thing you accuse me of. But this has gone far enough, I am sorry if you become offended. Edited by Miaq_The_Truthful

Yes, I would really like to see the data.

I'd be willing to bet, thankfully, that non-pr0n vastly outweighs the pr0n Edited by Dattebayo

why not just block the sites the art is on rather than the art itself. that way you'd get pinkie pie images just not the ones from certain sites... although that wouldn't work with artists who just make one offs or people flat out mislabelling/tagging their images. >_<

But it would be interesting to see how close it comes. It would really say a lot about this fandom if the amount of pornographic images nears in number to non-pornopgraphic works.

That'd be up to the responsible parent involved, and parents these days aren't really responsible with children and their internet usage.

Besides, I'm just trying to "hide" them so that someone who isn't searching for it won't easily find it.

That'd be up to the responsible parent involved, and parents these days aren't really responsible with children and their internet usage.

Sure, parents are the ultimate controller if it comes to kids using the Internet.

But parents don't always have time for keeping an eye on their kids all the time. It would be nice if Internet could be made safer place for our kids than it needing our constant care. (That's why I like your initiative.)

And here's where Google steps in.

It's actually their website which shows the search results, on which they have full control, and no one else. So it is also their responsibility to keep those results safe, especially when they promise that by introducing "safe mode". We can help them by flagging the content, sure, and I often do it when I see some serious shit popping out where it shouldn't. But we don't have control on their website, neither have the authors of clop art.

I find it rather suspicious that their search results show more NSFW content when asked about MLP than for other search queries. If their system were truly automatic, it should work the same no matter the theme of the content.

So we can flag these NSFW images, as you've said. But I also think some more serious actions would be needed, e.g. contacting Google directly about that. Because it looks they need some serious improvement to their system.

Assumeing I would personally do it seems like you are projecting a preconception about me onto it. Which is also quite rude. Kind off odd how you tend to do the exact thing you accuse me of.

It's called "reflection". I'm mirroring you to let you see yourself in a mirror. If you hadn't started imputing me being a venal whorse who would love whoever paid my debts, I wouldn't have anything to mirror back ;J

But this has gone far enough

I'm with you on that.

Look, we really don't need to argue. We're both Bronies. I'm sure that you watched the show too, so I guess you know the morals and you understand that arguing would get us nowhere. This is the second time we discuss at this level (remember the quoting stuff?), and I wonder why. I've never had such conversations before with anyone else on these forums, so I think it's not something about me. And I started suspecting you're just trolling me royally, until you added this:

I am sorry if you become offended.

I see it as a willingness to stop arguing and get back to normal, and I hope I'm right.

I'm not gonna pull this discussion any longer, whatever you say or call me, because this is not the best place for it. For future discussions, keep in mind that I tend to reflect people's behaviors back on them. If someone is not nice to me, or tries to impute me something I am not, I don't remain indebted and I reflect back whatever shit is coming towards me. So it better be some nice shit ;)

I'm not a hater, I just dislike people who pervert kids cartoons!

Up until that last post, I was trolling. And quite successfully by the looks of it. I added that last line as a sort of "end all" to it. But I will say that your reflection tactic is not very effective, as it only serves to make you appear more angry than you were before as you tend to drop all subtly while doing it. Implying that you would do anything for money in a trolling manner is one thing, but being so brash about it just makes the appearance that the trolling was effective, despite if it was or not. And again, like I said at our last crossings, your initial contact came off as rather crass, so I responded in kind with a troll, that appeared to be successful. Instead of being so crass and rebuking in your initial quotes, a simpler "we do not have the tech to do that" would again, have sufficed. Please keep in mind that reflecting ones "behaviors" back at them is often taken as projecting yourself, and it only serves to appear that you are submitting to the troll. If you would only word your posts in a non combative fashion, this entire thing would have not occurred.

But yes, the fact that googleing mlp comes up with more NSFW images than other related fandoms and cartoons is distressing. Either they are not being flagged enough, there is an overabundance of it, or googles own system is being corrupted.

You're just going to have to get over it.

Because such is life. If something is popular enough, there will be a porn of it.

What you, as said hater (because really, you don't call people "pathetic" and not be a hater), can do about it is flag these wayward images as mature whenever you come across said images.

You got a kid? Because I have, and I have to explain to her why people draw these depraved pics if she finds them!

Irrelevant and causative.

You'd have an easier time doing what I'd say should be done than trying to explain it and to dictate what people produce on the INTERNET, of all things.

So, again, the question stands, are you willing to do what needs to be done?

Or are you going to keep complaining over a section of the fandom you have no control over?

Not wanting explicit images to come up on Safesearch is being a hater?

I'm bringing up old stuff from a different thread.

He knows what I'm talking about.

Yarr, I've seen that.

It's the SJW bull I was referring to In the OP.

It wouldn't hurt to do something like it here, since there are more members here than in BABS

Just started doing this now (Twilight, by the way).

Question, would butt shots (Saucy but without the reproductive parts (No I don't want to say it)) count? Also, would anthro without the chest details count as well?

I'll spend some time doing it anyway. Don't have much else better to do.

Ok, my bad.

Good thing this also works on Bing.

Yeah, IF we get a thing going, which I doubt, we'd need to tackle Bing as well.

Yahoo images doesn't have a flag feature

If it's a shot from the show, I'd say no, leave it.

I'd only flag it if it were a fanart obviously produced with you-know-what intentions.

Anything that you wouldn't want your parents walking in on x)

Gore, lingerie, purposely suggestive butt shots, suggestive anthro with suggestive clothing/no clothing...

The works.
