Which of the mane 6 is least popular?

The least popular are AJ and Rarity. (And they are my favourites. )

Like I've said before, the least favorite seems to change as episode go on along with the most popular. For example, a year ago it felt like the most popular were Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy and the least popular were Applejack and Rarity. Then this passed season came alon and it seemed to go the other way along. I suddenly saw a lot of Aj and rarity fans and a lot more hate for rainbow dash and Fluttershy. As for Twilight and Pinkie, they seem to pretty much stay the same in terms of popularity.

Applejack. Since the end of the season 4, I doubt Rarity is (still) the least popular mane 6 pony.

that's because they have depth that fans of the more popular and less multi-dimensional ponies can't quite wrap their heads around, or people just thrive off of feeling hatred towards things they deem to be an easy target. I don't know whether I should pity them or laugh at them for what they're missing out on.

As a Pinkie Pie fan, ouch. I love Rarity, and get mad when people don't think she's a good character, but there's no need to be mean. No pony is lesser or greater, but some people unfortunately think that. Don't be one of them, Ghostie.

My favorites in descending order are:

 

1) Twilight and Fluttershy

2) Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Rarity, Rainbow Dash

 

As you can see, Twilight and Fluttershy are both #1. The rest tie in 2nd place.

 

As for the fanbase, Applejack is least popular.

As a Pinkie Pie fan, ouch. I love Rarity, and get mad when people don't think she's a good character, but there's no need to be mean. No pony is lesser or greater, but some people unfortunately think that. Don't be one of them, Ghostie.

Maybe you should ditch Pinkie for a bit and walk a mile in the shoes of a Rarity or an Applejack fan. The numerous headaches and that itchy feeling in your chest you get is something I guarantee you don't know the full extent of.

 

I remember when I first joined the fandom, I signed up for a fimfic account, being a fanfic author at the time, right? I wanted to try my hand at writing fimfics Then I met this little fimfic group that was dedicated to nothing but hating Rarity, and I'd be goddamned if they didn't spam my inbox with Lolicon, snuff pics, and the like until I just abandoned the site all together for a few months. Why? Because I was a Rarity fan, and they hated her. 

 

You don't know what it's like, you don't know the frustration and constant headaches as well as constantly having to defend what you care about from these troglodytic claims being made against them, that, quite frankly, don't even make any sense. As a Pinkie fan, what's the worst you've had to deal with? Claims of "Flanderization" being made against her? That's really it - and, quite frankly, the claims usually make sense when they're being made, whether or not I agree.

 

Simply put, the frustration that a few Rarity and AJ fans seem to feel is something that you can't understand as a Pinkie fan, or a Rainbow fan, or a Twilight fan, or a Fluttershy fan - I know I've felt like a second-class citizen in this fandom as a whole because of this bullshit.

 

It's really something you'd have to experience to understand, and, given you just said you were a Pinkie fan, you haven't experienced the frustration and the anger directed at the fandom that a few others and myself keep bottled up.

 

There's a reason I call myself a brony for the show and not for the fandom.

Celestia, Luna, and even DJ-PON3 made the cut before AJ in a recent toy line. C'mon Hasbro!

 

 

That is just sad . I would totally buy an Applejack toy. I like her just as much as the rest of the mane 6. Honestly, I almost don't have a best pony because I love them all. I just happen to like Twilight and Fluttershy a little more.

You know what? No. I don't know. I guesz because just I'm not as invested in the show like you are.

 

I don't get angry when people talk badly about my favorite. "Pinkie Pie is obnoxious!" "Pinkie Pie is so stupid." "Pinkie Pie should just die." That's what I get told.

 

And instead of getting a headache, I just shrug. What does it MATTER what people think? I like Pinkie and that's what matters. You like Rarity and that's what matters. There's no reason at all to get upset. The fact that you get so angry is worrisome. There's no reason to get upset.

 

There's certainly no reason to tell me to ditch my favorite pone.

 

But… I do have to call this out: A second class citizen? Really? I AM A SECOND CLASS CITIZEN. How dare you compare where you stand to the fandom to being a second class citizen? The police come up to me because they think I'm not from here. I have to prove I'm a citizen. Most of my family is uneducated. Some can't even read or speak English. I have to translate for my grandparents. I get looks whenever I go out to fancy restaurant. I worry the government will take family members who aren't from here away.

 

I'm sorry that people don't respect Rarity, but it ISN'T the same.

How anyone could dedicate themselves to hating Rarity fans with so much hate is astounding (and disheartening) -- I must say that in season 4, Rarity caught my attention and I began to appreciate her more.

 

As to my least favorite of the Mane 6... I'm not really sure I have one: maybe Pinkie Pie, only because I feel she was kind of marginalized in season 4 (almost to the point of being comic-relief and nothing else...).
