It does not matter to me, as long as they don't go hating and forcing to me to give up my bronyness.

I have control over my life and I could choose what I want to like.

As long as they accept the fact that I watch it, I don't really care. I'm not going to force them to become fans, but if they hadn't seen the show before I would like them to try it first.

They don't have to watch it or even like it. It's just one portion of my life. I have plenty of other people here on the forums to fanboy over it with.

Now, video games? That's a different story. If she hated video games I probably couldn't do it. :P

She can like it or not like it, doesn't matter.  But she has to respect it and be 100% fine with me liking it.  If she has a problem with me liking it, then that right there tells me enough about her character to know that she's not right for me.

My wife doesn't judge my love of the show, but she doesn't watch it with me. While I wish she would, I'm okay that she doesn't. We were married before I got into the show, and the only differences it made were...

1. She teases me about it from time to time (in a loving manner)

2. She buys me pony related presents (she got me a new brushable just Thursday for "no occasion")

If you can find a partner that is into the show then you won't even need to dicuss this...

although, trying paint my partner red and drawing an apple on his butt might be pushing it a little bit... but only a little XD

Speaking of partners; my wife says that's fine for you to do...

As long as you don't put him in a saddle too.

It'd be awesome if they were bronies as well, but I don't care if they aren't. As long as they can accept the fact that I'm a brony, and don't want to change that fact I really don't care. I want somebody with a "live and let live" personality.

As long as they don't expect me to drop interest in the show, whatevs

Pretty much this.

20char Ahh fuck it I'll elaborate

I'd rather just keep it to myself if they aren't interested. No reason to cause a fuss.

As long as they accept that I like it, I'd be totally fine with them not being into it. But if they were into it, that would be fantastic,

It's important to have common interests. The idea that 'opposites attract' is completely overblown. However, one shouldn't be picky with said common interests. Whilst it would be nice to have some special partner who is a mirror image of your interests, mannerisms and method of dress, it isn't quite the reality.
So, I don't believe they have to like the show at all. If you two really fit together, then they won't mind whether or not you watch the show. Just as you may not mind a strange attribute of theirs, even if you yourself do not like it. A relationship is about embracing another's positives, and putting up with their flaws.

As a Pegasister who's 14, if I still like MLP when I get married (lol probably thinking waaay too ahead here but whatever), as long as I like the guy enough... he can like or not care for MLP as much as he wants (if he likes it, AWESOME! If not, that's alright, as long as he doesn't criticize or tease me about it. That's crossing the line for me!)

Agreed.  It would be awesome to marry a pegasister, but it's not a sticking point for me.

Same here.  I have a lot of interests.  MLP is a larger part of my life than even Kim Possible was, but it's still only part of my life.

You've got problems.

As long as they don't expect me to drop interest in the show, whatevs :D

Of course Rarity won't judge you.

What? It might be kinky... although i've seen Goldfinger enough times that i'd be worried they'd go into toxic shock if painted them,

(ps. its a myth that you can suffocate like that. XD)

I'm rather perplexed by this question, as my "significant other" is a character from the show lol.

All I ever expect of anyone (to whom I'm close) is to accept me for who I am.  Warts and all.  Ponies and all.  Ponies are actually far more appealing than warts, I think...

Well, they don't HAVE to like it. It shouldn't be treated as a big deal. That being said, it would be a common interest to talk about, and I wouldn't feel as left out when watching the show.

But who am I to talk? I'm not anywhere close to being an expert on romantic relationships. That kind of requires being in one.

I'd say that as long as they accept me as a brony, I wouldn't mind whether they like the show or not. Sure, it would be nice if they did, but I wouldn't have a problem is they didn't! Each to their own, I say!
