Call of Duty Black Ops II: Uprising

Well, ever since the Uprising DLC was announced I decided to make a blog about it.     The Uprising downloadable content is the second map pack that was announced in March and is now available to all Xbox players currently right now and will soon be available for PS3 and PC players next month (May). The reason why we have to wait is because, Microsoft signed a contract with Actvision/Treyarch and it guarantees that Xbox gets all Call of Duty downloadable content first before PS3 and PC playe

Late Night Ramblings

Hey there everypony *yawn*.   So I'm just gonna write about whatever popes into my head. I didn't do any writing like I wanted to because I turned off my computer and everything else today. My hippie friends came over for the night and left a little while ago. We turned off all the electronics for a few hours. I am pretty sure it's not earth day but we wanted to see how much fun we could have without electronics. That eventually led us to go outside and loiter at my old middle school.   Ahh

I dunno.

I don't know what to say. I wanna say something, but....I dunno. I guess I'll just ramble on for a while. So...it's 4/20. Roommates have been talking about getting me high. Nothing. Jojo's not even here, and Justin's fucking with the TV. Figured this would be the day. It's 4/20, the pothead's holiest day (for reasons unknown to me), and a weekend, when I don't have to work, so I figured they be bugging me all day about it. Nothing. What else... Lighter has fluid again, so I've been playing wi

EuroBeat Brony - "Discord" Vocal Cover

So this morning I woke up thinking to myself. "I'm in the mood to do some singing..." Then I thought "What if I did some vocal covers of brony/pony songs for a change?" I quickly decided I wanted to do a vocal cover of my favorite brony song, Discord, by EuroBeat Brony. (No, not the living tombstone one, the original.)   So, I spent all morning (and a portion of the afternoon) recording, practicing and mastering (sort of) this little thing I whipped up as my first vocal cover in history.

Wasting days without talent

Let me tell you, I am a decent singer. I can do any melody after I hear it or what anyone requests. However, I feel like my voice is being wasted.. I'm not in a band or anything like that.. I get lots of praise from lots of people, but I haven't done really anything to further this potential career.(I guess.)   There is a problem I have with singing and its a pretty common one: Stage fright. I wish I knew how to overcome this problem of mine. By myself I'm just fine, but on stage? *Gulp* It's

TBAT Reviews, Chapter 2: Botch - We Are the Romans

Blazing into chapter 2 of this never-ending anthology of music reviews, I'm going to touch down on one of hardcore's most jarring albums.   Botch, for the short time they were around, certainly did a lot to push the envelope for a genre that was already doing so much to push the envelope in the 90's (metalcore began to pop up at this time with Coalesce, Norma Jean, Deadguy, Converge, etc.); their debut album "American Nervoso" serves as proof of that, with a strong absence of any sort of key o

TBAT Reviews, Chapter 1: The Contortionist - Exoplanet

AtDawnTheySquee and RD92 are making reviews, so I feel as though I want to take a stab at this as well and review one of my favorite albums of 2010. You read the title, you know what you're in for, let's go.   Deathcore is a genre where the very same-y nature of many of the bands in it has been a deterrent for many; one-note breakdowns, extremely repetitive song structures, et cetera. However, there is an exception to every conceived notion in music such as this. This is where The Contortionis

Artist Spotlight: Sparklerific

Halloo! Here's a new thing i'll do every Saturday, where i'll share with you various musicians that I like.   Today, i'm sharing with you Finnish Brony Sparklerific. Although he's only 12 years old, he makes awesome music and he's hilarious!   From what I can tell, he mainly produces House and Orchestral music, although he also makes other genres from time to time. Here are my favorites:   http://soundcloud.com/sparklerific/love-of-beauty   http://soundcloud.com/sparklerific/streets_o

OLDER ALBUM MINI-REVIEWS #1

Alright then so I decided that since I don't wanna leave any of you guys hanging off with nothing after I just created my music Review Station being hosted on my blog, I figured that I'd do the first entry of this segment which I like to call "Older Album Mini-Reviews" which is just where I make mini-reviews of some of what I think are legendary/classic albums in my heart. Now as for how the requests are doing, I'll start listening to the Netsky album tomorrow, and I'll probably start writing th

The ever so exiting walk.

So I was meant to help my mum do a bit of house work, when Breagha (our Samoyed) goes totally nuts. She's hyper affectionate, barking and snuggling up to me. When I go up the stairs to my room, she blocks me off and rolls over.   After a few minutes of wondrous belly rubs, I give in and tell my mum I'm taking Bri for a wee walk. Of course when she hears this, Breagha goes mental. I grab a wee baggy, put her lead on and off we go!   Breagha did her business immediately (right by a dog waste b

Decisions and Dilemmas Part 1

Okay, my first blog ever is here...   So what this first one is about, is basically telling you about what's been going on in my life since I joined here. Might be a bit long, and will be split into parts.   So when I first arrived here, I was enrolled at my old school. I had been into ponies for about 3 months already. It was my summer holidays, and I was bored. I had also found an interest in Let's Plays.   School life returned a few weeks later. I fell into a routine of Let's Plays, Sch

Album Review #2 "Images and Words" - Dream Theater (1992)

Yes, I'm making a Dream Theater review, just don't expect me to make more. This the only Dream Theater album I have and I honestly have no idea why I have it. I heard "Pull Me Under" then I got the whole album. Well that escelated kinda quickly.   Images and Words has this bipolar sound, it can be heavy at times and really soft at other times. Not in the Opeth kinda way though, Opeth is much heavier and less synthier (Is that even a word?).   "Pull Me Under" is one hell of a song. My favorit

Moog's Music Review Station 2.0

Alright then, so since the very old review thread that I did a long while ago had died out I figured that I might as well do what everyone else seems to be doing right now, and make a music review blog. I will do reviews through requests only, except for the occasional one that I think deserves to be reviewed. Now before you ask I WILL NOT DO ANY OLDER/CLASSIC/LEGENDARY ALBUMS because I don't wanna review things that everybody's already heard a million times. Only things that have came out durin

The Thinking Pony (update)

Okay, so I have developed a system on how I will be posting these 'The Thinking Pony' articles . Since it was a more extensive project than I made it out to be in the beginning, here's the new approach. Just like how Nietzsche wrote 'Human, All Too Human' in short literary bursts while out walking, I will do the same, and post everyday.I might post only once a day, maybe 5 times a day, who knows . They wont be too long, and I will blend multiple articles together so one proceeds the other, but

Hey everypony! How's it goin'?   Guess what? I'm making my very own Luna Game parody!   It makes absolutely no sense! Nothing

Dear Reader,     It's not often that a song strikes a chord in me. To be perfectly honest, ninety percent of what I listen to is mindless garbage that I wouldn't recommend to anyone. For some reason, I'm attracted to trash when it comes to music. But every once in a while, when I am in a particularly creative or melancholy mood, I'll stumble upon a little gem like this one. is a song I'd never heard of, although I vaguely remembered The Script from such smash hits as Breakeven. It mad
