I'm pretty sure that since people have found her as an easter egg in the newest one with her derp eyes that I prepose this headcanon: Derpy has a lazy eye issue and that eye as with people with the condition sometimes goes nuts and she has to focus to keep it in place when she's flying or trying to help with something. (Such as the incident with town hall). Her real name may be Ditzy Doo but her nickname is Derpy as she admits she is a bit of a klutz. Everypony okay with this? Cause I think the name change was okay and y'know getting the whole story, she's a parent...And she felt stung knowing that it possibly meant something that was an insult and a horrible insult towards her son. She was thinking like a mom and I don't blame her...So we'll just have to move on and live with it. Nothing's gonna change it seems because unfortunatly there's a bunch of us who will be offended no matter what. Me? I've said my piece, I've basically gone through the stages of it. Anger, conufsion, sarcasm, acceptance and moving on. So yeah..

I had someone tell me RD was a gender confused Pony and that despite asking for people to correct him on grammar he refused to remove the: "his" when writing a small description of what inspired him to write the comic in question. Yeah some people are just gonna be jerks. Every fandom has jerks and every fandom has it's perks. Wow...I sounded like Zecora for a sec...

I'd like her to be however WE want her to be regardless of what's done to her on the show I'll still write little short stories about the backgrounds and my OC's having their own adventures in Ponyville on the side and eventually post them. And Derpy will be clumsy if I want her to be or silly or just plain sweet. Which in my headcanon she's just a pony who means well but because of vision problems tends to have it...Corrupted a little when she tries to act on her good intentions.

Yeah...I'm avoiding Ponychan for a good reason and that's cause I'd get swept up in the more 'aggressive' side of the fandom. Everyone here is sane as far as the fandom goes and I like it here but I won't register for EqD or Ponychan or anything like that. Too crazy for my tastes. And yeah I can see why too...Hence my attempt at staying neutral.

I just wanna say I was trying to speak from our view and try to get an understanding on why everyone was so upset previously. By now Youtube is flooded with re-uploaded original's of The Last Round up and unedited Derpy Hooves. Hasbro and the trolls were both partially to blame. They likely will re-include Derpy even if it's an Easter Egg (I saw her in this weeks episode in the Iron Will seminar crowd looking as she always had with her usual eyes.) version of her. So yeah...Basically that's what I was trying to say. I'm trying to stay neutral frankly was more so trying to get a handle on why everypony is STILL pissed off when panic and anger mixed together never EVER cause any good. And this thread? Showed a hell of a lotta panic.

Alright having seen this thread unfortunatly blossom from day one...Can I just post my reasoning behind everypony's outrage? Derpy is in a sense the child of the fandom, we sort of nurtured her from an animation flub, to the pony she is today to the fandom, she's like the fandom's daughter basically in that sense and when she was edited it was like seeing our little girl get hurt by a group of bullies and the anger is there. Whilst she was featured in an episode as a speaking character she was a little Easter egg to find and little bits of her showed. Then when she got edited it was like one day your daughter heads off with friend's wearing clothes she likes and the next day she's dying her hair in the bathroom because it's what "everyone else will like me better with". Think about it for a sec...Am I not too far off as far as the more angry, and sad comments go? Hasbro and Studio B basically gave in to peer pressure and changed something crucial to us to appease 'offended' people whom likely wanted to see us get hurt because some people think we're a cancer to the internet when they are. It's like my dad's reaction to someone on a kids website I used to go on posting how they think their friend harassed them and posted the details. Rage, utter unadulterated parental rage. Derpy is basically our baby is she not? She was ours long before Hasbro and the rest of the people working on the show including Lauren herself noticed. I say 'ours' when saying the Brony community as a hole. Go ahead flame me I don't care this is just me trying to think of a reasoning for all this anger and hate. My only conclusion is reactions to when I got sucked into peer pressure and got bullied in girl scouts. It's similar to how angry my parents were when my troop leader told them: "Because she isn't singing the line about the lord in the oath she isn't a very good girl scout, the other girls say so and agree.." Basically that was Hasbro saying our Derpy wasn't good enough because she was 'offensive' and too different whilst the show's message is to premote love, friendship and acceptance. It's a slap in the face to us...

Alright watching commentaries and stuff on G3 made me realize this: Before I actually watched FIM I thought: "Boys and teenage boys at that are getting hyped up over THAT!?" Can I just say I'm in total agreement and it's like YGO abridged. Once something got views everyone else was doing it. EVERYONE. If it's a series there's an Abridged for it. Even Legion of Superheroes. It's not even about being funny anymore it's about getting views and things like Shed.move and abridged series ARE NOT FUNNY ANYMORE. It gets old, so effing old that you wanna scream. If I see one more: "Stay out of fluttershy's shed lol" or anything relating...Horse apples are goin' down!

She's gonna murder me if she see's this but my BFF is like Pinkie! *goes to hide* It's true they're so alike it's scary and Pinkie is her least favorite at that.

I had a friend who thought I was a doormat because I liked anime and because it was the 'thing at the time' (she LOVED following the crowd and doing everything she thought was 'cool') she never stopped calling me gay and lesbian, stupid for stuff like that. They're the real idiots and if they bring it up and tease you say: "It's not my fault the only good show on TV is about ponies." Because frankly FIM and Transformers ARE the only good shows on TV now adays.

I usually hum the songs, check my dA messages to see if there's any new pony art in the Bronies group on there or just listen my playlist with pony songs on it. Yeah unfortunatly right now I got the G3 stuff stuck in my head from watching the Bronies Watch commentaries. Ugh mind melting...

To be honest I saw one of the cupcake video's and I was crying it was disgusting, it looked too much like the show and I kept mumbling: "No." Every time Pinkie Pie moved it was scarier then some horror movie's I've seen and trust me I'm that one chick who likes cute and fluffy stuff but also watches the bloodiest of anime's with not much indifference. (Once you watch The Birds your basically de-sensitized to stuff like that.) But without that I wouldn't have looked FIM up to act as a brain bleach so there wouldn't be nightmares and that night I watched nearly ten episodes and I fell asleep with a smile on my face from it. I wouldn't be in this fandom if it weren't for stumbling upon them and Epic Cupcake Time. (Which is pretty awesome.) I didn't like Shed.mov but to be honest I've seen stuff like it before, OOC crap that deserves the title. I once read a Trauma Team story based on a crack comic and this person took it completely out of context to where she had an eight year old commit suicide in the story. Continuity issue's, OOC, everyone dying as a rapid chain result half being suicides which is exactly like Shed. That same effed up person wrote a funny comic series herself about the three main characters of the TC series becoming bronies. There's good and bad in everyone. Sometimes we find our way to the stuff we love by accident, sometimes to get rid of horrible images, or because it's just a good show that makes you smile when your sad. There's good and bad in the fandom too just like the show. You can't have Luna without Nightmare Moon and you can't have a scene with Cheerilee's classroom without bratty Diamond Tiara. I'd say everyone can seriously tone it down with the Shed jokes. It's like the chicken joke with Scootaloo..It stopped being funny after the first 60 postings so let the horse die already.

My idea of humans being extinct in FIM still stands...

Too much to wrap up here in IL. I'm gonna just make snacks and watch movies with my mom. Maybe get her to watch MLP...Yeah no not today at least.
