  1. No easy crier, but My Little Dashie did it for me (and just about everyone who was willing to vest some emotion in the fic). It was the first time I ever thought hard about the father/protector role, and for a few months after that, I'd always look for boxes in the empty lots I passed on my way home from school. I try not to cry at all, and most time I'm able to show no emotion. It's a give and take because I'm left alone. Out of curiosity, what settings did your impression of My Little Dashie take place in? I always imagined the first setting being some kind of Detroit summer night thing, leading into fall, then moving to the countryside as things get colder.
  2. Probably an older model artificial horizon system, since I fly. The giant, black and white one in the F-8 Crusader is one of my favorites. It's that or the traditional winged insignias that are associated with aviation.
  3. I like the slice of life. Also, venturing too far from Ponyville might put the show's continuity in jeperody. I think it'd be hard to blend a WHOLE NEW COUNTRY with the 'normal' lifestyle the show has been exhibiting so far.
  4. I managed to freak myself out a lot by loosing my sense of porportion. This was the kind of thing that happened usually during some kind of fever dream, but it'd start with a simple object either becoming so massive it could not be comprehended (and by extention, I was too small to comprehend), or by a large object becoming small and brittle and razor sharp. This was all accompanied by an assault of high pitched noises and pinpricks that made me feel like I had hundreds of needles, just touching my skin, and if I put any weight on anything, they'd jab deep into me, as well has forcing upon me a feeling on incredible fear and desparation to escape. Last time this happened to me, I was begging to be knocked unconcious. Weird shit.
  5. Heck, that wasn't about relaxation there. That was more. It was honestly really intense to be able to close my eyes and not move while that played. I'd call it a form of catharsis. AgileDash - Twilights Ascension My personal favorite.
  6. Probably because you're getting used to it, so it commands less of your attention. That's what is holding me back - I loose focus. This is the big thing folks. It's all in your brain. Hypnosis won't harm you if you don't let it. Even if it is scary, all you have to do is remind yourself that you are in control.
  7. That's probably unrelated. My left eye sees slightly more red hues and my right sees slightly more green. It's been that way for years with me, but it's difficlut for me to notice, unless in perfect lighting conditions.
  8. Heck yes. Think of the adventure. I'd use Cloudsdale as a base for expiditions to everywhere in the world. And I could bring along some human-smarts to make things a little smoother.
  9. Pain doesn't tell you when you ought to stop. Pain is the little voice in your head that tries to hold you back because it knows if you continue, you will change. Don't let it stop you from being who you can be. Exhaustion tells you when you ought to stop. You only reach your limit when you can go no further. -unknown In the beginning, the universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move. -douglas adamns.
  10. Halo 3. Without any doubt. It's mostly the memories. Wasting summer nights online with my firends. (I also did a half decent immitation of Caboose from RvB)
  11. For me, combining my expirences in aviation with my notions about pegasus ponies has really messed with my perception of clouds. Once you stop seeing them as far away and totally out of reach, they become the most fascinating thing in the world.
  12. So, do people think this works better if repeated every day, or used sporaticaly? I really suck at paying attention to this anymore - is there something I'm doing wrong? And to all the concerned or previously concerned people - don't let is psych you out! ...though that might be the key to a better hypnosis. I have no idea.
  13. - Rainbow Dash actually has a job - Twilight ain't no alicorn - Cloudsdale is a massive hurricane or something and it's cut off from the mainland for the vast majority of the time (which is why we see so little of it.)
  14. What rap do you listen to? The good stuff is almost never found by following links from vevo videos on youtube. As for me; I'm thankful that the twin towers fell straight down onto themselves. Upon reading more, I'm going to leave this thread before I wind up hating you all. Seriously, what the fuck is up here? Really! jesus.
  15. I think it's fine for a critical reason. The entire time, no one else knows about Dash, and at one point the narrator says he's a "closet brony." Therefore, Dashie can be seen as a metaphor for the show as a whole, and how it was stumbled upon midst the gloom of life. I'd appreciate a link to that. That's what happened to me too.
  16. I'd add an epic two parter taking place in Cloudsdale. Goodness knows we don't see enough of that fantastic city. They really should show more.
  17. Lemme tell 'ya guys something. I found out about MLP via Funnyjunk.com. Now there's an unsavory site. It's still my home, but when I go back I realize how outta whack things are. Not to say I'm some battle hardened and unflinching person, but it's not the nicest over there. There was a lot of sexualized humor within the bronies there, and from outside there was decent stream of gore targeted against brony posts. Nevertheless, we did pretty well there for about 6 months. It's a whimsical, foolish, and damn dumb site, but if you all are looking for some lawless humor, it's a good place to go.
  18. Tired some. Definite suggestive power in these tracks, but I stayed very alert, mostly because it's hard for me to take instructions in the first place. I honestly felt some of the morphological effects. But to everyone who always seems conerned, you should relax, it's all in your mind, and it's pretty fun.
  19. I have some small jet engine compressor blades that are factory rejects, probably off a small P&W engine - for a Citation or some similar jet. I plan on making solid, square bronze mounts for them and engraving at least one with Soarin's cutie mark and wearing it as a necklace. Gonna be a real pain to actually do it, because of the surface for the mount to attach to, and the fact that the blade section itself has no flat areas.
  20. I There's actually also an addon called Ponyscape, which (as you may guess) tweaks Inkscape to ideal condtions for vectoring ponies. GIMP is powerful, but not at the level of Adobe products. That said, it's free.
