    Never thought of that. That's a great idea. I didn't have a backup, but I backed my important files into an external drive from my Ubuntu disk before I reinstalled Windows.

    YES. Use AVG, Avast!, Panda Cloud, Malwarebytes, or Microsoft Security Essentials instead.

    So, over this weekend I've had to deal with a virus called Smart HDD. Detailed info on the virus itself here: http://www.bleepingc...emove-smart-hdd What happened was, I was updating Firefox Nightly and this screen randomly pops up with a critical HDD failure warning. I thought "Hm. If my hard drive failed, then I wouldn't be able to access any of these files. This is probably a virus." Out of curiosity, I let it do its "scan" and it finally instructed me to buy their software. That's not suspicious or anything. The download link opened IE. Also not suspicious. MSE identified the virus, but when I restarted my computer after trying to isolate the virus, the program took over my computer almost completely. I couldn't boot into safe mode (it stopped after loading all of the system files) and Avast! couldn't find it when I ran it on my Ubuntu backup disk. I finally went down to Staples and bought a copy of Windows 7 and a 1 year McAfee subscription (would've gone with NOD32, but I'm too lazy to get it online). Even the guys at the tech center were surprised by what happened. I finally finished setting up a clean Win7 install and I'm good to go now. So tell me about your worst virus or computer issues.

    >Stupidest For one thing, hunting is pretty much necessary to keep game animal population down. Otherwise deer, bears, and other animals would have a huge explosion in population and make it more difficult for other animals to live in the same areas, not to mention the amount that flora would decline because of an increase in herbivorous game animals. Hunting is absolutely a sport. It requires skill, patience, and physical stamina as well if you're doing it right. The M40 is pretty much a Remington Model 700 with a match barrel and trigger system. Other than that, it's pretty much the same weapon, and I'd say that the R700 is even more iconic than the M40. If you really need M40 accuracy, match parts can be bought fairly easily, but it is fairly expensive to do this.

    I'm really into guns and gun history, but sadly I don't own a gun. Minors can't go to shooting ranges in MA anyways because some kid accidentally shot himself with an Uzi a couple years back. Otherwise, I would love to shoot a Mosin or an AK style rifle as well as some S&W's (WESTERN MASS REPRESENT!)

    "What are you giving up for Lent?" Nothing. "Do you celebrate Christmas?" Yeah, like everyone else. "Do you, like, celebrate Hanukkah?" No. Despite the fact that the rest of my family is Jewish, I'm not. "Do you go to synagogue?" WHY DOES EVERYONE THINK I'M A JEW? "Do you know about Jesus Christ?" NO. TELL ME MORE. "Isn't Socialism bad?" (and variations of this question) I don't even know how to answer this. "If you're not Christian/religious how do you have morals?" I don't. Duh. "What's it like being an atheist?" My head gets itchy every couple of minutes and I'm overly self-conscious when I'm on my meds. "Why do you hate God?" Why do you hate leprechauns?
