I made the aesthetics of him long ago with most credit belonging to Ariona. Don't think I even talked to Scoots when he was conjured up. The only public piece of art he has been featured in is this one by PeachPalette. Based on personalities alone, pick mine out xP I miiiiiight. When I'm finally satisfied I've written enough about him I'll be joining alongside Scoots. His constant nagging is going to be re-payed by him having to hold my hand. :3

Awwh... In short, the tactical mind. I originally thought of the Knight chess piece as it symbolized the military (knight) as well as the logical, academic side (chess). Military thinking and tactics are this poni's specialty, methinks. Since I wanted to go for more of a show-like aesthetic for the chess piece, I asked Vexx if he could find a screenshot from the show of ponies' chess. Sure enough, it existed and he found very small vectors of the pieces, which is why when zoomed in, you can see it looks a bit jagged. As for the cross, well I simply couldn't leave it out especially considering I think I devised a way to shoehorn it in. When looking at the cutie mark, chess piece for the logical strategy and tactics, and the cross to symbolize the old roots of military loyalty and duty. Knightly things like that. It's difficult for me to put all these thoughts into this post right here, right now since I haven't actually formally written about my OC. Right now it's just all sitting in my head. He doesn't even have his name yet, though I do have one idea so far. (I've also commisioned a very nice artist to whip up a nice little piece of art for him ^^ I find it to be the most memorable name, it just stuck with me. Last few months? What could it possibly be, hm? A secret? Juicy? Hmm... Not particularly... Mainly just Feld0 not sleeping, Scoots being tired, and ~CD~ being nigh invincible.

In recent months, Battle of the Bulge comes to mind. To me, it is the shining example of a ridiculous 60's war film. For a film that prides itself on historical accuracy when it wsa released, it couldn't be further from the truth. The glaring stereotypes, poor acting, set errors and almost offensive levels of innacuracy are astounding. I received the film two years ago for Christmas on Blu-Ray because someone in my family remembered that a came from it. The characters are blatantly black-and-white cutouts depicting the American forces as dopey incompetents and the German forces as zealous monsters. Another glaring issue I had, which is fairly understandable for a 1960's film is the fact that the German Pzkpfw VI B "King Tiger" tanks in the film are instead represented by post-war American M47 Pattons. The absence of historical German vehicles has been remedied in the past by Hollywood by either substituing the vehicle with a strikingly similar in appearance one, or building a frame around it in order to dress it up and make it look like the intended vehicle. For example, here is a T-34 dressed up to appear as a Pzkpfw VI Tiger tank. All in all, what would otherwise have been a great opportunity to showcase the very intriguing and complex battle flopped onto its face and left me extremely disappointed.

I'm going to begin downloading it once again later on tonight when I've gotten some things out of the way first. Perhaps the client will work now that there is a new patch..? We shall see.
