In my mind, I'm one hilarious bastard. In reality, my humor mostly has to do with observational stuff and down right morbid jokes. Like here's a good for example: So this guy was mouthing off to me about some rude joke I mad, right? After a few minutes I got tired of it and chopped off his middle finger. He asked "What'd you do that for?" I just held the finger up at him and told him to shut up. See? I find that hilarious. Everyone else is looking at me funny...

If you had your own religion, what would you name it?
LunaUmbra replied to Sugar Pea's topic in General Discussion
Umbranism. The worship of the shadows and it's primary deity, Mother Luna (it's not what you think....) -
open Lets tell a story! Everypony invited!
LunaUmbra replied to ZukoIsBestPony's topic in Forum Games
Twilight was sitting quietly in her library, flipping through a collection of old spell books. As of late she had an odd yearning to delve into old books, learning of past concepts and ancient knowledge. At the moment she was studying the works of the old alchmesists and their experiments of using magic to change iron into gold. -
If you cloned yourself, would your clone rebel against you?
LunaUmbra replied to TheMarkz0ne's topic in General Discussion
Me and my clone would last a few weeks, maybe a month, then the schemes would start. It might be that one of our cars stops working all of a sudden, or one of our flash drives dissapears mysteriously. You know, petty stuff. But it would escalate. Scorpions in the shower, anthrax in the shower gel, devious shit. Eventually it will come down to a one on one compition between me and him. There will be no mercy. At some point we'll just drop, unable to kill the other, and mutually agree to passivlly resent each other. From that day forward, it'll be little sarcastic comments and snide remarks to stand as testament to our epic struggle for control. -
If I was pulled into the show and made a character, I would probably be a unicorn school teacher/scholar. I say this because I'm in school for teaching and, at least twice a week, somebody looks at me and says "How do you know that?" To which my clever, sophisticated reply is "I read a books, dammit."

There are a great number of video game themes that get me ready for a good fight, but there is only one song that can get me truly hyped up for combat. Rammstein's Du Hast. Whenever I played an MMO and we were getting ready for a raid or some PVP action I'd blast this song in my house. Annoyed the living hell out of my family.

Exact opposite boat for me. Was sober the entire game. It was horrible. Ended up just turning off the game about half way through the fourth quarter. I just didn't care anymore.

Dear Luna, where to begin... I normally daydream about whatever book/video game/show/situation I experienced that particular day. Sometimes I make stories in my head, ranging from standard fantasy to sci-fi to more down to earth stories. It's actually rare for me to daydream about ponies, for some reason.

So, according to the news, the Coke commercial that aired during the Super Bowl was "unamerican" and a "slap to the face of America." Apparently, it is "shoving multiculturalism down american throats" and conservatives in the States are up in arms over it. And quite frankly... I don't see it. In summary, the commercial is a series of short clips showing people of different ethnicities, in essence, being happy (with a Coke or two in a couple of shots) to the tune of America the Beautiful sung in varying languages. It's all very patriotic and happy and nice culminating with the Coke logo and the words "America is Beautiful." All I see is a message of multiculturalism in the States and a nod to it as a beautiful aspect of life in the US. And some people seem to forget... IT'S A SOFT DRINK COMMERCIAL! It's just drawing a connection to Coke being as much a part of the United States as the various ethnicities (and the one gay couple) shown in the commercial. But that's my take on it. Personally I liked it. But maybe you didn't. Share your thoughts!

Where does your educational background lie?
LunaUmbra replied to Onylex's topic in General Discussion
I was publically educated by the state of New York. It also turned out I'm smarter than the public schools in the state of New York. I was publically educated but had multiple opportunities to be transfered to private schools. But most required a uniform and the others required me to move so I stayed public. A little more casual but the system is more regimented. Meant to teach the majority more than help the individual. -
Without question. I like most canines, but wolves especially hold a special place in my heart.

My result: Calm Thoughtful Soul You are a calm and restrained person, and you don't usually let your emotions get the better of you. Your friends and family are very important to you, and you enjoy spending time with them. However, you need to get away from them occasionally, because you need regular time to yourself to unwind a bit. You are thoughtful and sensitive to the needs of others, especially your loved ones. You make an excellent listener, and your friends rely on you to be their rock in times of trouble. It is rare that you ask them to return the favour, however: you are a private person, and you rarely talk about your feelings. You don't like confrontation, and you don't usually react when someone hurts your feelings. You try to give people the benefit of the doubt, and you don't want to cause a fuss. You pick your battles, and when someone steps over the line, you surprise them with the vehemence of your emotions. Your daemon's form would represent your poised, confident nature and your calm self restraint. He or she would probably rarely speak in public, but when alone, you and he/she could review the day, and he or she could provide the reassurance and comfort that you deny yourself by keeping your emotions bottled up. Suggested forms: Cheetah, Crane, Wolf, Raven. (I...cannot argue with any of this. It's pretty spot on. Love the wolf and raven forms as well)

I have nothing against cute little Silver Spoon. She just follows Diamond Tiara around for her own protection. She kind of reminds me of an old friend of mine who did the same thing. As for Diamond Tiara... she's just spoiled rotten. She only cares about herself and belittling others. It makes her feel better to make others feel less important. She is a bit of a bitch, but I don't think she's irredeemable.

Drugs! Let's talk about drugs. More specifically, our experiences with drugs. The good times, the bad times, the hard to remember times, share them all here. Notice: Drugs're bad, mmmkay? Seriously though, drugs are illegal and are a detrement to both your life and the lives of others. Don't start. If you choose to do drugs, despite the laws and the adverse effects, please do so responsibly and in moderation. Now for me, I basically grew up drugged out. Age ten to present has just been one strung out moment after another. It wasn't my parents fault or society's fault like my social worker said. I just liked hanging out with certain types of people (criminals), and they had access to a lot of different drugs. Meth, cocaine, heroine, all that good (bad) stuff. I like certain drugs, like weed and khat, or miraa as some know it. Others I'm just stuck on (addicted to), like oxys. The worst experience I ever had was with ecstacy (shocking I know). I not only had a bad trip, I had it on Halloween. So I'm running up and down the neighborhood, freaking out and screaming, while being chased by five of my friends in monster costumes (it was hilarious). One was Jason and another was Michael Myers for Luna's sake. I'm just glad they finally caught me and dragged me back to the house before the cops arrived (it took two hours and he fought us the whole way back). So, tell me your experiences direct, indirect, here-say, whatever. Let me hear them. (Add-in comments courtesy of Mark, the guy who's saved him from a lot of close calls)

Was anyone here placed in special ed classes...Like me
LunaUmbra replied to TheMarkz0ne's topic in General Discussion
I was placed in 8-1-1 classes in middle school. For those of you that don't know, 8-1-1 is where they place street kids who are more violent and dangerous then the others (at least that's how my school used it). This was decided when, in elementary school, I beat the shit out of almost every student, boys and girls, who treated me badly. So that lasted three years, where I discovered a love of writing and political debates over drugs and fighting, and learned to control my anger more efficiently. It wasn't such a bad experience. I met my best friend there. It's where I learned about a closed system for computers (I liked to steal teachers passwords and hack the system). Yeah, it needs some improvement, and could definetly be handled better. But... um... damn forgot where I was going with that. -
Khat mostly. *a lawyer pops up and whispers in my ear* Oh. Oh ok. I got it now. What gets me going is the idea that anything can happen at any time, from the beautiful to the disastrous to the euphoric. That and the stories I write, like this one about- *the lawyer covers my mouth and escorts me from the room*

What they said. Mainly because, in one of the Justice League incarnations, Batman laid out contingency plans if any of the heroes went rouge, including himself.

I got green. Not a huge fan of green unless it's the secondary color to black in a combination (like a car with black body color and a emerald trim).

Do you ever try to escape reality? And how?
LunaUmbra replied to Rain Dance's topic in General Discussion
I try my best to escape reality. Sometimes I come up with complex problems and try to solve them in my head (like battle scenarios or logistical issues), or I come up with/play out stories, or when I get home and life's really getting to me I, um, I reach for a certain substance and just let it overtake me. -
Evilist thing I ever did, eh? Hmmmm... Oh, I sent a guy to the ER once. He and his friends had been threatening one of my younger, weaker friends. One day he talked back to them and they beat him up. Nothing too serious, maybe four stitches and a black eye. Anyway, me and my friends were planning to attack them back, and just as I was leaving the house we were at one of them goes walking by the house. So I quietly followed him back to his apartment complex and just as he got to the door I ran up and slammed his head into it. I then proceeded to, qoute, "lose my shit", and just beat him for twenty minutes. He ended up in the ER and now has a permenant limp in his left leg, is blind in one eye, and lost the use of his left hand. I still sort of regret it, but only because of his injuries. And you can bet there was some major fallout, but that's off topic.

That is a really good picture. Well done.

I used to be happy. I had my ups and downs, but overall things were good. Now, though, I'm not sure. I'm kind of stuck in a sort of "groundhog day" feeling. I work six days a week and spend my free time on the internet or sleeping. Every week feels like the last. So, I guess I'm not happy. Whatever.

I procrastinate all the time, I can't leave a door open behind me (ever), if I sit down my back has to be against or to a wall, and I always watch the street when I'm outside. That about sums them up.
