    I switched to uBlock a long time ago and don't regret it. It's far less demanding on my system.

    Pearl followed by Garnet and Steven for me. I'm afraid Amethyst would be much further down on my own unwritten list. I'd rank several side characters above her. Anyway, I'm still playing catchup but I'm almost there. Just a few more episodes to go. I'd be watching them right now but I'm taking a break to process that ten minute slice of awesome known as Jail Break. That song killed me.

    Band of Outsiders. Godard flops yet again with me and I'm tired of giving him chances. He's an innovator who's had an incalculable influence on cinema, but I'm not convinced he's a great artist in his own right. This flick is much in the same vein as everything else I've seen from him: a cocktail of crazy that is occasionally brilliant but mostly incomprehensible and boring. Also 50 minutes into Amadeus and it's good.

    I'll second the Star Wars Prequel Trilogy. Yes, they're soapy, fake-looking, have hilariously inept romantic dialogue, and poke all sorts of goofy holes in the mythology. But the acting isn't THAT bad, the non-romantic dialogue is serviceable to good, and the core story is actually quite strong. For better or worse, they're fully-formed directorial visions, with their creator's personality stamped all over them. I find them a million times more interesting than most of what Hollywood puts out these days.
