  1. At heart I'm probably a unicorn; but wing's just seem way cooler than horns..

  2. Me deciding not to tell my dad about bitcoin when I was a teenager because "A$721 per coin is really expensive!"
  3. The fandom is definitely well beyond its golden age, and has been slowly loosing momentum and relevance ever since. With g4 finished, along with the cultural spotlight no longer aimed at the fandom, as well as a lot of, at least, the younger bronies growing out of the show as they transition into adulthood we don't really have the momentum or attention that we once did. Even seeing this forum now vs when I first created my account it feels like a completely different place, both culturally and in relation to the general population size I also remember when a lot of brony content creators, especially musicians and rappers started to veer away from the culture; as creating mlp content was not a great way to be taken seriously as an artist in the more general artistic sphere and a lot of them were aiming for careers in this area. Could the fandom make a come back? Maybe. I think it has potential. But it would require a serious cultural shift. That either being something like new content that grabs us all as hard as the original show did (though like all second waves i think there would also need to be be some additional force that would sustain the community after the inital hype), or maybe a new perception of the fandom such as a post-ironic revival or the use of MLP concepts as a symbolic movement representing something else entirely. But I don't think, if the fandom ever comes back, that it will resemble the fandom in its original golden age very much if at all.
  4. A famous music producer. I sorta had an opportunity to really begin that journey but turning music into a business made me hate the whole process instantly. Part of me thinks that maybe I'm just not developed enough to use my skills in such a way yet. Maybe one day i might pick up this dream again, but it's not as important to me as it once was and I am enjoying doing music simply as a hobby now whist pursuing more realistic goals in my day to day life.
  5. How on earth did I forget about Ozric Tentacles?

  6. Me (an absolute intellectual) looking at my own forum profile: oh wow, this dude had the same birthday as me!

    1. Astralshy

  7. Heya Dux, welcome to the forums!
  8. Old School Runescape PvP for sure. I've always been terrible at it, but I enjoy watching it. There is a lot more depth to it than you'd initially think
  9. Whatever happened to the sig shop scene on this forum? There used to be about 20 at any given time, nowadays it looks like they've all disappeared.

  10. I already produce my own music as a hobby and usually find it hard to stick to one genre. But if had to pick 1 genre to pursue professionally it would probably have to be Techno. It is such a versatile genre that lends itself equally well to simple and easily digestible composition, and more complicated, experimental/exploratory/conceptual works. It almost feels more like a sandbox framework than a specific genre
  11. My RSI is flaring up again making it difficult to work. Go figure this happens right after my last scheduled physio appointment. Looks like I'll be going back
  12. Probably Sci-fi/Sci-Fantasy, I've always had a soft spot for galactic worlds featuring many different intermingling alien races such as those of star wars or star trek.
  13. Heya Blazey! How did you find your cutie mark?
  14. Currently I am reading John Dee and the Empire of Angels by Jason Louv. I am also currently trying to get myself to read atomic habits with varying rates of success
  15. I agree, it verry much reminds me a lot of sips from the yogscast. I think they have even done some videos together.
  16. Northernlion is great, my housemate got me onto them. I live his Binding of Isaac commentaries. Not super interested in the game but I find that they're great to listen to as a podcast whilst doing other things
  17. "3 claps for the monkey prince, if you're not great then nothing is" Still one of the best beats I have ever heard. https://quandary.bandcamp.com/track/court-of-the-monkey-prince-feat-louis-mackey I really wish bandcamp had embed
  18. Are we talking scripted as in The Truman Show, or as in a predetermined universe? I think in either case I would wanna know where it was all heading. But specifically in the case of the first I would wanna know who's making all the money off the show and why it's not me
  19. Sore, my RSI has been flaring up the last couple of days. But it's the last day of work for the week so I'll get to rest for a few days which hopefully helps
  20. If I can't figure it out, I'll send you a couple of bandcamp links if you'd like I'll try and single out some of the more "interesting" tracks be that for musical, lyrical, or contextual reasons. I am thinking about the fact I only have 2 and a half hours until home time
  21. "I don't blame them for setting the trap; I blame myself for accepting this crap. I throw things into space and they never come back; My other sitar is a zeppelin!"
  22. I feel like I've found my way down some pretty interesting rabbit holes. I'll find a way to post some of my favourites somehow. Most of them are on bandcamp, I just don't know if bc embedds are any good I'll have to check when I'm not on my phone
