  1. I mis-voted. I said "meh" when it should've been "didn't like it." I just don't like CMC episodes because they're just so predictable. Go on a wild scheme to get cutie marks, screw up, realize cutie marks aren't that important, make the exact same mistake three episodes later and forget everything they learned. Really the reason I think this episode is gonna get high marks is because Luna's in it, and even her presence seemed a little hamfisted. I think the only redeemable thing I actually liked about this episode is the idea of ponies getting a cutie mark they don't like. I would like to see this seriously explored sometime later. Overall, 3/10. Predictable, tedious Groundhog Day sequences, and Luna fan pandering.
  2. Does pointlessly political count as outrageous? Our sex ed teacher in high school was an uber feminist that liked pushing her political opinions on us despite the fact they had nothing to do with the subject she was hired to teach. This made her astoundingly easy to screw with. One time she came in with a stack of magazines. She made us split into groups, go through them, pick out ads that objectified women, and explain why they were offensive. They were all magazines like Cosmo, People, the type of magazines that you can't turn one page without an "objectified woman" but my group didn't do anything the entire time we were allotted. Instead we picked up a local newspaper. When our group had to present our "offensive" ads, they sent me to the front of the class and I began reading in my most book-on-tape voice from the section of the classifieds for escorts and "massage therapists." For our homework (we weren't being graded in this class but she gave us homework anyway, I'm just as baffled as you are) she asked us to write letters to marketing firms on behalf of some feminist organization she was in to tell them to stop putting women in slinky things. I instead wrote to the feminist organization about why their method of ending sexy ads was flawed. I never got a response back.
  3. A mash-up of the general background music from Persona 4 and the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air theme song. I have woken up screaming to my own ringtone.
  4. First off, the polished piece. My contribution for Ashley Nichol's charity artbook; Friendship is Wild! 100% of the proceeds go to WildAid, an organization dedicated to stopping poaching and the trade in poached animal parts such as ivory and shark fins. It's a wonderful cause I support whole-heartedly. Click here to preorder your book! Being a huge bug lover I decided to focus on a facet of wildlife conservation that often gets overlooked; illegal insect trade for pets, pinned specimens, and even living jewelry (they glue gems and chains to live beetles as brooches, it's disgusting.) Some butterflies can fetch up to $5,000 dollars a piece, so it's a very lucrative illegal market. Every butterfly featured on here is endangered or a CITES I species (endangered to the point that any trade is illegal.) The only exception is the Monarch Butterfly on her flanks, which sadly is being considered for the endangered species list this year. Cutie mark: Palos Verdes Blue, Monarch, Bhutan Glory Left wing: Queen Alexandra Birdwing, Luzon Peacock Swallowtail Right wing: Rajah Brooke Birdwing, Ceylon Rose And close-up of the butt butterflies. --- And unpolished work. I'll be fixing this up tomorrow but for now have some preemptive episode art. I am psychic.
  5. I just don't know how someone could hurt another human being that horribly and just leave someone who clearly needs medical attention. How do you live with yourself knowing you did that? Hope the jury throws the book at this guy.
  6. And this extends to parents bringing kids too! I had at least 5 clearly sick kids coughing on me and my merchandise and grabbing everything they could get their hands on. It's really great you want your kids to have a good time with a series they love, but if they're sick please keep them home! A bunch of us adults took vacation days to get to cons, we can't afford to take sick days too right after! It hurt to talk by day 3 for me and my job involves lots of yelling. I got out pretty lucky with just a slight cough, lost voice, and huge migraines. Normally post-con is when the con crud really hits but my room started getting sick by day 2. In the end 4 out of 5 people in my room got sick.
  7. @@Yummychickenblue Pretty sure Ponyville Live was there, not 100% sure. Someone else did take video of the whole panel which will hopefully be up!
  8. Duster does not have any children. She's the only eohippus in Equestria proper and doesn't have any romantic prospects nor the desire to have children. She's not even sure if an eohippus and a modern pony can have children together. She has no nieces or nephews by blood, she's an only child and her blood family is back on the island where eohippi are native. After being released from captivity in a museum in Canterlot, Duster was adopted by the museum security guard and his wife. They have a grandchild which would be Duster's adoptive niece.
  9. My ponysona Duster would date the ponysona of whoever I'm dating since she's me. Mushiko doesn't have a crush on anypony. She's incredibly shy and sheltered, meeting anyone in the dense forest she calls home is rare. I guess if I had to throw a dart at a shipping dartboard she'd best get along with Fluttershy.
  10. I actually just sent in my state taxes (boo to California for taking my federal refund away.) Kinda helps being raised by a tax lawyer so I know what I'm doing.
  11. Duster, as an ad designer, would really only be able to work in the color schemes of the town (brown, beige, and gray) and for some reason all of her ads just parrot on about equality. And are covered in equal signs. And if we give a little leeway, she'd probably grow too. She's between the size of a filly and an adult mare.
  12. I'm a AA battery. Aromantic Asexual. Lately I've been questioning the aromantic thing but I've just been that way for years.
  13. No photos, a bunch of my prints are off to get frames so I can hang them in my new apartment, but I got a list! - Lots from Silver Slinger. Kind of a fangirl of his work. - Celestia plushie from Cutie Corral. - Applejack shadowbox from the Paper Pony - Prints from Ashley Nichols, Rat of Drawn, Leekfish, Flavin Bagel, Braeburned (I want to hug this man he's just too nice) - Bottle opener from Braeburned - Golden Gates plushie, BABSCon shirt and lanyard - Cadance and Sunset Shimmer pins from Pony Ties. Very dapper gentleman! - Applejack badge and Fluttershy towel from Las Pegasus Outpost - Element of Honesty and Loyalty badges and pony tarot deck from Chocolate Pony - Nearly everything Twilight Sparkle's Secret Shipfic Folder had to offer - Princess Cadance badge from Onnanoko And these I do have images of; custom badges from Onnanoko and Ajinarts! You guys don't understand how much I love badges of my OC cosplaying things.
  14. @@TheJLeeTeam You didn't recognize me because I'm super stealthy. c: I do remember you though because I always remember fellow fans of lovebutt!
  15. Oh man. I actually felt my heart start racing when I saw that seats were running out. I had absolutely no idea the panel would get that full. My copanelist and I could not be happier with how it turned out! We want to thank everyone for coming and a huge round of applause to the Twilight Sparkle's Secret Shipfic team and FimFlamPhilosophy for being a part of the experience and lending their flair! We hope to see you guys again in 2017 and maybe Equestria LA later this year!
  16. Typing. Motor dysgraphia makes it physically painful to write.
  17. Two days before the convention I finished my print for BABSCon's charity auction, benefitting San Francisco Suicide Prevention and New Horizon School & Learning Center, two absolutely wonderful institutions. I decided to parallel the myth of Amaterasu emerging from the cave to bring the sun back to the world, lured out by a magic mirror called the "Yata no Kagami" (The Eight Hand Mirror.) Equestria Girls mirror, Sunset Shimmer, it fits. This print will be signed by Rebecca Shoichet, Sunset Shimmer's VA and only sold at the BABSCon Charity Auction.
  18. Killing time until my plane to BABSCon!

    1. 碇 シンジン

      碇 シンジン

hope you have happy time there =)!

  19. Thankfully MSPaint isn't too hard. Just a lot of practice and patience while you get used to the tools. Try it out!
  20. I used to be absolutely petrified of driving. Like hyperventilating in the driver's seat when the car is not even on terrified. It took a lot of practice to overcome that fear. Now if I have my iPod hooked up or a talk show going I'm mostly okay. Still really anxious on long drives or drives to somewhere I have to rely on a GPS to get to.
  21. I've been told I have a SoCal accent. Dunno what that is. I also have been told I speak Japanese with a Tohoku accent. For the non-Japanese speakers, Tohoku's accent is kinda the Japanese equivalent of a Southern accent. It can be warm and homely or rednecky depending on who you talk to.
  22. Oh lordy no. If my skin isn't bright red by the end of the shower then it was too cold.
  23. I used to. Kinda stopped because I liked sleeping in. But now I found a new sect I'm much happier in (Religious Society of Friends AKA the Quakers) and I've been meaning to go to a Quaker meeting. Keep getting scheduled to work.
  24. I actually don't use a tablet, tried it a few times and it wasn't my thing. I use a wireless mouse for all my work. Except for a few done on the 3DS.
  25. Thanks guys! Maybe I'll have some more MSPaint experiments in the future.
