  1. D'aw, thanks for all the comments guys! @@WittleWabbit I'm someone's senpai? Yay! (does pinging someone count as noticing?)
  2. Turned in my first two applications to teach abroad in Japan. Wish me luck!

  3. I used to do target shooting. Was real good at it but the gun range I went to shut down.
  4. @ Thanks! I was kinda flip-flopping on Sombra's expression. Ended up going with a smug look since it seems to be in his nature.
  5. The more I play Persona Q the more I want to dress up my dog as Koromaru. Hold still, Gatsby...

  6. Tossup between Generosity and Honesty. I'm definitely self-sacrificial and will burn myself out helping as many people as I can, but I chose Honesty. I am just incapable of lying. I won't throw anyone under the bus, I won't dance around with words to get out of trouble, if something's my fault I own it straight up. Unfortunately Honesty doesn't translate to emotions. Still have trouble opening up about those.
  7. I have loyalty, honesty, and integrity in spades. What I lack? Optimism. I'm really insecure and anxious about the way things go for my future. While I wouldn't say I'm a pessimist, I definitely fret too much to look on the bright side.
  8. I had this character slated to be an NPC in a tabletop Roleplaying is Magic campaign. She never made an appearance but I love how creepy she is. If you're wondering how she moves, watch a video of a bat crawling on the ground. Out of all the mutant ponies I've made for my mutant pony kingdom headcanon, this one is probably the strangest. After four months of horrible procrastination, I finally finished this piece of Cadence and Sombra! This will be in print form at BABSCon. And even if you miss out if you shoot me a message after the con I may have leftovers for sale.
  9. Duster (avatar) doesn't like to be violent, so she goes weaponless. She will defend herself if needed, but she prefers to dodge or flee. Torchsong (words cannot describe the wierdness of this OC) also goes without weapons but she doesn't need them. Her wing claws are strong enough to inflict painful slashes.
  10. Daily. Way too much. I know to keep it appropriate at work or at conventions, have to mind the kids when at cons. I just replace it with more family friendly variations (i.e. "shut the front door.") I'm not offended by swearing. i have absolutely no right to be.
  11. Yes and no. Yes because having gone to college out of state, the biggest challenge coming home would've been making friends. The SoCal Bronies made building a new social group easy and fun. I'm a lot happier now that I have friends back home. And getting into ponies artwise has really opened the door to networking with other fans and chatting with people who appreciate my work. And I'll be honest, talking to folks who like my work gives me warm fuzzies. (I'm awkward taking compliments but trust me, I love 'em.) No because I found the whiny, creepy, entitled, and just downright weird section of the fandom with phenomenal speed. I know I just hopped off the Kingdom Hearts fandom train so I can't really complain about creepy fans making creepy things but a part of my soul died when I found the guys with waifus making active efforts to try and get to a non-existent place in a kid's cartoon.
  12. Where it's appropriate. If I'm out on errands or going to the dog park, sure I'll throw on a pony shirt if that's what I dig out of my drawer in my half-conscious morning state. If I'm going to work or an important meeting my shirts stay in the drawer. Time and place for everything. Pretty simple.
  13. Who else is pumped for February 15th? CHOCOLATE ON CLEARANCE GUYS.

  14. Nobody else like orange? Sadface. I love orange, pacific blue, and white put together. So pretty~
  15. November 22nd. Not only am I a zodiac cusp, but all my baby boomer relatives used to mock me for sharing a birthday with the JFK assassination. FUN TIMES.
  16. My handwriting hasn't changed since second grade. I have a wrist disability (motor dysgraphia) that makes writing physically painful and my wrist a little twitchy so my handwriting looks like toddler scribble. Fun fact: I never learned cursive in fourth grade because the teacher got too frustrated with me and would just send me out in the hall with a worksheet so she could ignore me. Fast forward to my junior year of college, I had to teach cursive to my junior high school students in Japan and admit in front of the 2nd year class I never learned cursive. I ended up doing the same worksheet with my students and having them correct me.
  17. I used to be one of those super obnoxious anti-Valentine's day edgy teenagers ("blah blah HALLMARK HOLIDAY blah blah CAPITALISM blah" you get it.) Now I just use it to treat myself. Make a cup of my favorite tea, sit around in a fuzzy bathrobe, and eat sugar from sunrise to sunset. Then get all the candy on clearance the day after and get super sick. I'm probably going to hold what I call a Piers Anthony Flag Party with that book. Get a bunch of friends who like terrible literature. Mark all the dirty scenes with differently colored flags (like what you use to study with) and pass the book around. Each person has to pick a color, open to that flag's page, and just start reading completley blind. No backing out. The movie I may or may not consult the internet about.
  18. Those patches are fantastic! I've actually been looking for an AJ heart patch to stick on my banjo case. I'll have to stop by!
  19. You know, back when I was in high school I was one of those obnoxious edgy kids that was perpetually single and hated Valentine's Day because it was a Hallmark capitalist holiday with no intrisic value blah blah blah. Despite my commitment to nonviolence I probably still would punch teen me in the face. But now I'm older, hopefully wiser, and more sure that a romantic relationship just isn't in the stars for me. It's the genetic hand I was dealt, I just don't feel that way. I put all my emotional eggs into friendship and familial baskets. So I don't think there's anything ostensibly wrong about relationships and love. If that's what works for you, great. Just respect people who don't need it.
  20. I'm a coca-cola girl to my grave. Two a day when I'm restricted.
  21. I thought My Little Dashie was really creepy to be honest. Saddest I read I don't remember the title. It was alicorn princess Twilight reminiscing about her friends. Except she granted each one mortality under one condition; they could choose to die at any time. The whole story is Twilight telling her assistant how each of her friends chose to die.
  22. Duster (see icon,) is in between the size of an average mare and a filly. Her size would make her speed, evasiveness, and stamina a force to be reckoned with, but her defenses on the lower end. She'd specialize in scratching and jabbing with her hooftoes, but her real power is in outrunning attacks. She's a nimble dodger from years of practice running with stampeding giant ancient herbivores and hack-and-slash tactics really wouldn't do much. Kicks or punches she'd weave around, maybe slide under the foe, grab a leg, and pull to trip them up. She's also very cunning and would not hestitate to resort to tactics that cause your own attacks to get thrown back in your face. If you really want to bring Duster down, use magic. She comes from a primitive society where shamanistic magic is the only kind of magic not considered unspeakably evil. Standard Equestrian magic is unheard of outside of folktales used to scare children (and it's called "witchcraft") and your average unicorn with any decent attack spell can put the breaks on the speed demon eohippus.
  23. Hi everypony! I'm Duster Dawnhorse and I'm thrilled to be coming back for round 2 at BABSCon 2015! Last year you guys made my first ever pony con a hit, and I expect nothing but awesomness this year! I've joined forces with the Bronycrafters headed by Victor DaWorker to bring you prints, buttons, keychains, and various perler pieces. To visit my DA folder of prints I will have available, click the banner below! Not shown are buttons (still working on those) and blind bag keychains. Daworker's portfolio of available works is coming real soon. In the meantime, why don't you go say hi on his DA page? Look forward to seeing all of you in two months! (THAT CLOSE ALREADY?!)
  24. As an asexual I wouldn't date anyone, human or equine. The problem solves itself.
  25. Google: "bad my little pony fanfic" I love bad fanfiction to the point I can't read anything good because it's boring. It's sad.
